The plaid says "relaxed".  The room says formal.  It doesn't agree, like a prom dress with trainers.

 

However, "Odd" is now "In"!!!  Go figure!  I don't find it attractive nor innovative.  ThanksSmiley Happy

I would choose a different light fixture...seems too fancy for the more rustic fabric on the chair
