I love fall and think most of these are pretty. I also, however, think most of them are a bit excessive for private homes. The first actually puts me in the mind of a hotel porch. Each to their own.

@wilma  Thanks for the pictures. I have a stoop no porch. Door gets a wreath. Orange, white and a blue pumpkins and a mum in a pot. There are five steps up to the stoop but the deer still seem to find all the tasty treats. Along with the squirrels.

@wilma

I don't have the time and we are on a side street and as well, is a dead end with only 3 houses, which are all nice, but off to the side.

The hill in front of goes straight down and is hard to walk.  All we see are delivery people, and we park in  back as well.  If you live on my street, you should have 4 wheel drive- then, you may not get out!

Such is life in the mountains ⛰!!!

The 2nd one is a bit much, but I still like it! The last one is my favorite. The rest are WAY overdone or just seem too matchy matchy. My Fall outside decor has been out for 2 weeks now.

I change my front door wreath for each seaaon with a pretty swag or wreath....usually from Grandin Road. At Christmas time, I use real greens.

I have a medium planter and change out the flowers for spring, summer and fall.  I normally put out a few pumpkins in the fall too, but had to stop.

The deer come up on the porch to eat anything they possibly can.  They have eaten the dried corn on my wreath and always eat the pumpkins and gourds.  They love lillies and I can't use them in my planter.  They won't last a night. They don't bother mums.

My DH has to use deer spray every week on all of my front yard plantings.  The deer even eat my holly bushes. I wrap all my plantings in burlap for the winter...or I would have nothing but nubs left.

I don't over do the front porch decor. I Just put out a little something that's cheerful.

We don’t have a front porch, only steps.  So a wreath on the door and some mums in the big planter near the base of the steps.  We have a long walkway in the front of our house, so we have a bench with urns on either side, on the grass closer to the house.  A few pumpkins on the bench, and mums in each urn.  Quite simple.

Wow, I really like these porches.  Would love to have the house I was born in to decorate.  Huge victorian house.  Ah well, those days are gone.

Now just a small porch with a wreath that is changed seasonally and another seasonal decoration below the side window.  Happy fall everyone!

Some effort certainly went into decorating these porches though I agree way too much stuff!    We live in a townhouse and have a small covered porch in the front.  I have two ceramic pumpkins with a faux hay bale out there.  Also my fall wreath that is hanging on the door.  It's not too much, just enough.  The way some people decorate is so overkill like my neighbor across from me.  I don't know how they even get in the door, it's ridiculous.    We goof on them all the time.  I seriously think she tries to outdo me, gives us a good laugh though Smiley Happy

Beautiful!  Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love putting out my decor outside, I have a small porch area.  But I live in the South and have learned the hardway that Mums do not do well here.
