These fireplaces are beautiful room focal points. When I was a kid, we had a full-wall reddish brick fireplace. It had several sections to it so we could cook food in the built-in grill, make popcorn, cook in a black pot that swung out, etc., or just enjoy the beauty and coziness of a fire. The wall continued to the lower level/basement, but this one was made of lannon stone and fit into the more modern look there. The fireplaces were wonderful at gathering the family and friends.

My home doesn't have one, but growing up we always opened Christimas presents on the floor in front of my grandmother's fireplace.  With the mantle decorated so lovely.  Nice memories.  Heart

I ❤️ my fireplaces.

Around here the trend is an outdoor fireplace.  New houses are having one added to screened in porch or one in the middle of the back yard.

I love the beauty of natural brick or stone and I admire the skill of a mason to craft such great pieces.

I absolutely cringe when flipper shows destroy the beauty and craftsmanship to "modernize" the fireplace by painting over brick or worse yet, removing all traces of the original workmanship and replacing it with some faux facade and adding a mantle of man made materials.

Those are all so beautiful. Our new house doesn’t have a fireplace. I will miss that so much, especially at Christmas. We have always had a fireplace in all our homes up until now.

I love a fireplace in a home. We have a gas fireplace which we love.

The ones pictured are really beautiful.
