@ECBG,   I've heard of "Little Switzerland"--  unique, and what a fun escape.

 

@twinsister,  lucky you--  that is one peak I'd love to see.  You got to some great places in France.  I've never been to the French alps, but they fascinate me...

@on the bay Many bus trips to Indiana and Ohio include one of those authentic meals. I remember my friend talking about those excellent dinner rolls.

As someone who loves winter time, I could easily be comfortable and happy in these settings.  Just beautiful and so appealing, spectacular views.

The architecture is beautiful...but the interiors of the chalets are just too dark for me...the view is breathtaking.

I'm not a "cabin girl", but these are nice looking rooms. My favorite is the bedroom which looks very comfortable and cozy. I also like the sitting area with the dark pink chair which is interesting as I am not usually a "pink person" either. The view in that last photo is breathtaking!
