My Dyson ball vacuum. I have hardwood and tile and it works splendidly! I don't have carpet in this house (thank goodness!), but I used my old Dyson animal in my carpeted home. It really did a terrific job. My son uses it now in his carpeted apartment.

The Shark Cordless Navigator was purchased at Bed/Bath/Beeyond for $99 almost 2 yrs ago and still working great.  I highly recommend both of these vacuums.

I have everything but hardwood.  Dyson is definitely the best AND the company is beyond amazing for customer service.  They make products that last, which is worth a lot to me, in addition to their customer service.   You don't find all that together with the wannabes.

I have had my fill with the bagless vacuums.  I will keep my Dyson cordless, but any recommendations for a top notch bagged model will be appreciated.  I have hardwood, tile, only bedrooms are carpeted.

Thank you @AKgirl2  I am going to check these both out.  Can you wash the filters on these and are they bagless

@tends2dogs ~ you're welcome!  Yes, you can rinse out the dust cup and filter with both vacuums, both are bagless which is one of the reasons I think these vacuums are great.

@tends2dogs  I actually own two of them.  I loved mine so much that I bought for my house, I bought another one for my store.  I bought both of them from Walmart.
