Town & Country living has shown a "beach house" by Gil Walsh, that is a bit of a twist. There's a nod to the old East Coast shore dwellings.
Love the shingles-
So rich-
Am personally not fond of bright primary colors together, but that's such an easy fix here! For me, just jettison the yellow, maybe get a terra cotta throw subbing for red...
No room cannot be improved by the addition of a bird (ha). Huge, pretty amber bottle sparkles in the sun.
Nice to see an exuberant house at the beach, that still incorporates past treasures and antiques, much like the coastal houses of old. Helps ground the bouyant spirit.

Love the variety of color and beautiful wood!

Too starchy for a beach house.

@Oznell Beautiful pics as always, thanks for sharing. I would live in that Kitchen, and those ceilings in the L Room!

At first glance of the exterior, I assumed this was a house in the Hamptons.
The interior of the house really isn't my preferred style but it is still very pretty. One suggestion I have is if you're going to use pops of color, add some printed items (pillows, throws, window treatments, etc.) that combine all those colors. It wouldn't take much but I saw very little (maybe a pillow) that did that. I just think that ties a room together in a cohesive manner.

This is a serene coastal retreat where warm wood meets the sleek sophistication of contemporary design. Not a typical Florida home.
The kitchen is beautiful. I love the dark light contrast. It’s highly functional and modern.
I would change the blinds. They visually break up the space and interrupt the flow. I would go softer.

I love it! The vibrant yellow pillows welcome the sunshine in warm weather but I would switch them out for fall and winter. And I love the consistancy of the blue and white accessories in the different rooms. The kitchen is wonderful, my wish was always for a potfiller at the stove-never accomplished and now I really don't need it! I am obsessed with that mirror and furnishings in the reading nook....the mirror is perfect for creating a spider web vignette for Halloween and the radiating spokes are a copy of the back of that chair, how perfect! I am wishing for a closer photo of that clock, I have a similarly shaped one that is carved with fish on either side of the clockface. The house is a winner for me!

The Kitchen is my favorite room.
I would change the pillows and throw in the Living Room to a pale color instead of the bright vibrant colors used...same with the accent rug in the Entry and Library (last room).
The bright colors and dark wood together are not complimentary to a Beach House for me. I could live with the dark wood but not the bright colors.
Easy cosmetic fix to make it a pleasant space to my liking.

Very classic, which I like a great deal! I could easily love there.

It is stunningly beautiful but I'd like to see some human and loved touches like a hat somewhere, some books or magazines, a crock of utensils in the kitchen etc.
And for heavens sake put some soap in the bathroom! I LOVE that bathroom!
