To follow up on some earlier posts about misdeliveries and poor deliveries lots of posters have had, I am happy to say that after lots of deliveries from all sorts of amazon carriers, most of which have mischaracterized the method of delivery, FINALLY yesterday my package delivery was accurately described as "Your package was left near the front door or porch."
For months all the descriptions said "Your package was handed to a resident" or "handed off directly" when it was no such thing. All were just left at the door. I suspect it's extremely rare that they are ever given to a person. They never even ring the doorbell.
Well, I'm grateful that either they fixed their descriptions or that they are actually choosing the correct one. Hallelujah!
(I had asked them to make sure they were using the right one and that none of the "handed off" ones were correct - not even once.)
Fingers crossed that everyone else's package deliveries are on time, correctly delivered, and properly described.

Two packages delivered from Chewy @ 6 ish. Found sitting in the driveway, in the rain, and blocking one of the garage doors as we were heading out for New Year get together.
We were home, no doorbell ring, and large covered porch about 15 feet away. Boxes disintegrated, a real mess.

I live rural now. I rarely shop online but my deliveries are no problem. I may get them a day later but, since we now know our delivery people, they take the utmost care with the delivery of packages. One way to solve the OP's problem? Shop local and support your own community.

All I care about is if I get the item.
The delivery descriptions means nothing to me in the grand scheme of things.
