Re: FESTIVE OLD VERMONT HOUSE

@Oznell  This home is perfect!  I love the understated decorations, the furniture, the kitchen sink, the loom, just about everything.  The only thing that I would change is the canopy over the bed as I dislike them, but I do like the style of the bed.  I definitely could move right in, but I would want it in my area and not Vermont--too cold in the winter, and I am not sure about taxes.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Not overly done, simple.

Re: FESTIVE OLD VERMONT HOUSE

I agree with these sentiments!  The only thing I would want, in an historic house like this, is just one room with ultra-comfortable (but period-compatible, of course), overstuffed furniture for lounging.  It could just be a small sitting room, or even a corner of another room...

I was unable to find any photos showing such an area within the house, but would imagine they do.

I love the natural feel of the Christmas decorations.  I think the reason I hate CIJ is the tacky factor of most of what they sell.

@PA Mom-mom   It's your draft, it's not pulling properly.  Your flue needs to be cleaned as well because of the creosote buildup.
