Re: FARMINGDALE, NEW JERSEY HOUSE

I could live in this house!  The only thing I would change would be the ocean/sea art on the walls.  For some odd reason I have never found the ocean to be calming or even pretty...but she must so that's a good thing!  I tend to be more fond of mountain and countryside pictures.

I love most of this house inside and out. Looks very warm & inviting. I like most of the furnishings and accessories. The architectural details she added are very nice and done very well. I like the dark doorknobs and hinges. Love the outdoor space in the back.

I don't like the white metal chairs at the dining table or the chandelier above it. Some of the artwork isn't my style, but I think her selections work well in her rooms. Not a fan of the large hydrangea bushes.

I hope everyone has a great day!

The best thing is the bed frame.  Love that style.

This style is not for me but she has done a great job and most everything looks warm and inviting. My favorites are the garden area, the clipper ship pictures and the DR chandelier.

Quite an example of how a more ordinary home can be personalized.  Two things in common with our home - we have an authentic ship's hatch coffee table in our family room, bought so many years back at one of those salvage places.  It is unusual, and really huge.  Good for all the stacks of books and magazines we are constantly adding to.  Not so decorative, but it is our family room.  Living room, different,  but never stripped down.

We also have an arbor and a few sections of picket fence in the area beyond our driveway leading to our back yard.  Yes, white.  Best thing we ever did - we purchased a large and expensive arbor in plastic, and had it installed.  Normally, hate plastic,  but it still looks great covered in our old honeysuckle vine. No way could we have reached wood to paint on that thing.  But all fences in our yard are wood.  Thought I might mention our decision as food for thought for anyone considering an arbor that will covered in heavy vines.

@Oznell, Love your posts Heart

She is really impressive. I watched the whole youtube video. It is about an hour. She also pulled up the tile in the bathroom and retiled it. When she did the dining room she was 8 months pregnant and had to learn how to use a nail gun.Woman Surprised She had never laid brick and that fireplace is functional. Loved the gardens!

How neat that you also have a ship's hatch door, @PamfromCT !   Think of the history of such an artifact!

Thanks for remindin me, @tiny 2 --  I have yet to watch the bathroom part, and the girls' bedroom.  There is so much to take in in that video!
