I don't do much decorating anymore so just the front door, silk bouquet. I put it out when the kids go back to school and the State Fair begins. August some time.

My fall decor includes a lot of sunflowers which will come out fairly soon. The pumpkins will start making an appearance in September. I don't put out Halloween decor.

I don't really have a schedule. I live high in the mountains, so summer is brief here, and that is fine by me. I love the cooler weather.

Some years I get impatient and bring things out earlier than others. It's my house and I do what I feel like. Smile

My seasonal decorating has become more and more minimal. I don't do a lot of rotating decorations for the seasons. I may put my homely pottery pumpkin on the front porch for fall/Halloween or a few pretty gourds as a table centerpiece.......but that's about it. At Christmas-time I put lights on a small tree, a wreath on the front door, and place a couple of manger scenes and some loved family figurines, etc. around the house, but I don't get carried away or go with elaborate decorations. I haven't bought any new decor for Christmas (except a tree) in years. I cook our traditional lamb dinner for Easter and go to church with the family, but I don't do much (if any) Easter home decor. I don't want to buy, store, clean, or cycle loads of seasonal decor any more. At this time in our lives, simple is enough.

Here in the South, it can stay HOT through October, so I don't do my "official" decorating till Oct., that way I have it for Oct. and Nov.! I'll transition in a couple of weeks with "sunflowers" which to me is late summer into early fall decorating!

Anyone else a big "sunflower" fan like me?

In between I do my "college football" team décor ............ War Eagle!

Yes! Decorate with them for Fall, and grow them in one of our gardens. I also keep a plaque of sunflowers over our kitchen sink and our angel 'holder' (which holds a different sign for various holidays/seasons is currently holding a sunflower too).

If I have time later, I'll post a few pics {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

My son's birthday is at the beginning of Sept. and after his b-day, I usually get the fall stuff out. I like my fall decor so much that I want to have it out for as long as possible.

I don't do Halloween, so what fall goes up, stays up till Thanksgiving weekend, when Christmas comes out. I am liking Christmas decorating less and less as I age, and I think it is because I have too much stuff. I try to reduce it, but I get so sentimental about a lot of it then can't clean it out. I feel mired in Christmas decor, and I want it to take no more than 6 hours to do all decor and two trees, but sometimes it takes me two days. I am making an even more concerted effort to reduce the amount of Christmas decor I have again this year.
