Re: Eco Flow Delta Power Station

To me it sounds counterintuitive to have to use a car and burn gasoline to recharge the power station. Why not burn a gasoline generator to begin with.  Mine is a gasoline inverter which is a bit different and quieter than a regular generator.

What is a gas inverter generator?

Inverter generators are a newer type of portable generator with an electronic upgrade. An inverter generator automatically adjusts its engine speed to the current electrical demand, rather than running at a constant speed no matter the load size. This significantly reduces fuel consumption and noise level.

That is what we have at our camper too is an inverter generator.  It is actually pretty quiet when running on idle then ramps up when more power is called for.  We generally run it a few hours a day to charge things up and/or cook with electric appliances.  We use the portable power supply throughout the evening/night for TV and for running fans and lights because it's a silent power source and what we are running aren't high wattage items.

I just hope she thoroughly researches and gets something that meets her needs.  None of the options are cheap so it's best to get what best meets her needs.

Re: Eco Flow Delta Power Station

DS lives in an apt with no secure place to store a gasoline powered generator. When power goes out where I am, it's not uncommon for gas stations to be out, too.

He does have covered parking but it is shared and no separate storage unit. I thought a battery run power station would work best.

I'm shocked that nobody loses power for more than a few hours. He's lost power for 30 hrs, 3 days and prior to Covid, 5 days.

He was out of town for that 5 day outage and returned home to one big mess in the fridge.
