It is interesting and would be comfortable, if you were decorating a beach house.  An option could be to replace all the black elements in the picture with white, if you were living near the shore.

I actively dislike that room.   There is pretty much nothing that I like, at all, other than the moulding around the ceiling.

Very pretty color choices. Not very inviting to me.

Lacquer, sea stuff, African, wicker, deer, OH MY!!

There’s a lot goin’ on.

Heavy furniture...is it lacquer Asian or early American?

And I saw the deer-in-the-cabinet & immediately thought

the chandelier was an antler mix.

The chandelier looks very odd to me. The shades and orange color just are not attractive. I have no idea what is in the right corner of the room.

I guess I just don't like it.

Stunning, yet frightening.

I don't like any of the elements and do not aspire to any sort of a 'beach' theme, but the room, despite not much liking anything in it... and I mean anything... has some visual appeal. I could probably work with the orange chair and the black cabinet, though I'd have to empty the cabinet (and mantel) of all the shells...

I would refurnish it with my taste and yes, replace the chandelier!
