This is why I have stopped acquiring.  Moving things from one place to another doesn't work.  Releasing is the answer....bite the bullet.

I admire your discipline, not acquiring saves $ also.

One of my daughters and I have a standing joke, asked what are you doing today.....answer.......moving my piles around. lol. I agree, and we have both just stopped moving the piles around, and have moved those piles OUT, for the most part. It's a work in progress.

I even shocked myself...I've not been tempted to buy a home/seasonal decor, kitchen gadget or much of anything else.  In fact, I went shopping while on vacation to some great stores & bought nothing 😳😊

The only thing I bought was the stacking pumpkin for my front entryway just because it was a good buy & my Fall things were "old & tired" after many years of use -- they made it to the trash last year.

I decided to get a jump on my stuff for community yard sale.  Priced & boxed up in attic ready for sale.

I often think of thatSmiley Happy-

For anyone who is moving, if you want to really laugh in the midst of the chaos,

Read Dave Barry's-

Homes and Other Black Holes

He talks about how at first you lovingly and carefully wrap everything in tissue and put in the correct box with a neat label (fast forward) til you aare now throwing the cat litter, any trash, old tires etc at random into any box lol!

Plus the more you pack, the more accumulates and you look around to see it looks as though you have never started!

So funny!

My son and DIL just emptied their house to move. What an ordeal that is! I should get this book for them. I bet they’d get a kick out of it!  I know for sure my son enjoys Dave Barry.

We have four daughters.  When I ask if they want something, anything, their first reply is "thanks"  but mom do you know what a trash can is for?  So wonderful to hear these words.  I got so much and it will take the rest of my natural born life to get rid of it.
