Love Paula Sutton's house deep in the English countryside, which I've shown here before. Here's how she dressed one room for Christmas. That fat tree makes me smile:
Everything here seems geared for holiday fun and comfort.
Love the chess set at the ready, forced hyacinth bulbs, (bet it smells heavenly in there), tulip painting, small twin vine wreaths, orange slices and other fruit as display.
And those big, colorful paper balls at the foot of the tree-- to me, they add a madcap, harlequin tribute to the merriment of the season...

Thanks! Interesting photo!
How about a red plaid little wood blanket peeking out of the Fortnum and Mason hamper under the tree?

I like everything about this room.

Just charming!

Very pretty and cozy, but the coffee table is a little too cluttered for my taste.

Soooooo much stuff. It makes me feel panicky. Ok, so not panicky but I wouldn't last 5 minutes in there. Less is more.

I love this room.
It's interesting that they have hyacinths on the coffee table along with the Christmas theme.
I have a painting in my dining room that belonged to my Mother with the exact same frame. Her painting, however, is a Paris cityscape with a girl holding a hatbox in the foreground.

So charming and pretty. Very cluttered, but I like clutter! I love the sofa, but wouldn't want to sit on it and mess it up.
To me, this is a beautfiul room to look at, but not one to live in.

I love the paperwhites in the footbath. I never thought of doing that. I just put "ornaments" (Shiny Brite) in mine. I am going to do paperwhite's next year. Good Lord willing.

Uh oh. I can't show pictures of my cocktail/coffee table here. I would get a big thumbs down. Mine is a surround of books, nutcrackers and centered is a large cloche with a small tree within. I could be (maybe I am) British.
