Ellen's line is a bit of a puzzler.
It's mostly just random already existing QVC stuff.
I can't see how this can be a cohesive brand anyway, never mind without Ellen as a figurehead on the shows.
I'm not sure Ellen herself is a great ambassador for the line anyway. I have a lot of regard for Ellen from her old sitcom days, so I regret having to say it, but I didn't think she came off well in the first show.
She was paired with the most amenable and warm host (Carolyn) yet Ellen played up to the camera and left Carolyn hanging a few times.
Carolyn was obviously standing back and letting the star have the attention but the ensuing atmosphere was uncomfortable and cold. It was awkward to watch until the point when Carolyn started asserting herself a bit more, taking over more of the presentations, and the chemistry began to improve as they found their stride with each other.
I haven't seen Ellen's talk show so I don't know her style but after the QVC show, she went down a few notches in my estimation which I never thought I'd say. Quite frankly I thought she appeared aloof and self-centered which was entirely unexpected for me.
The fact that she's not appearing on later shows doesn't help to shift this impression. it's as if it's beneath her to appear, which is exactly the feeling I got from her.
Honestly, I think QVC should have partnered with someone else to hawk this stuff.

I saw her first show and the items were just not my style. Nothing special. I like Valeries things, but I think they are expensive. I just watch for new ideas. I can make some of them and replicate them for a much lower price.

Ellen's line is more clean and light in colors. But I will stick to VPH and the warmth her line presents to me. Especially in the fall and winter, I want a warm, inviting home. I expect Ellen's line suits Jill more as she likes clean, modern lines and has a personality more suited to Ellen's style. When I think of warm, caring people and their decorating style I think of Leah, Mary Beth and Carolyn. But, if I were staging a home for selling, I would probably go more for the line of Ellen's. Pretty generic and no personal feeling to it. I won't be buying her line, just watching.

I love Ellen, but not this 'line' of stuff. It is really a rehash of things, and companies that already sell on Q. I'm glad she is on, as I want Q to offer more home and kitchen shoes and items, and they certainly don't have to all be appealing to me. So I'm glad the shows are on, but not in tune with much of what is offered.

Let us know how you like the fruit luminaries, I thought those were so cute!
I'm wondering how bright they are. I have an accent table beside my kitchen table, I thought they might look cute there. Those are the only things I really saw that I liked. If they get good reviews, I may order later.

Ellen has her business finger in quite a few pies. She is very interested in home design and quite a good designer with considerable experience. All of the designers in all but the smallest companies have a design staff. The people you see on air provide the direction and do some of the design but could not possibly do all of it. They also appear on air according to their contractual obligations with QVC, not at their whim nor according to how much they care. QVC is like a giant department store with numerous lines that are directed toward a variety of tastes hence, Valerie's country, homey things and now Ellen's more contemporary pieces. This is just a start for her and we can probably expect to see some branching out later.

I like Ellen based on all I have seen and read of her. I have never seen or read anything about her that is negative, unsubstantiated "I've heard that..." notwithstanding.
Like others, I'm puzzled by her "line" at QVC. It has no cohesion that I can see. The items offered are all over the map as far as type, rooms used in, purpose, etc. and as far as decorative purpose the items are no different than could be found in Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Cost Plus or Pier 1, for example for similar prices. There is nothing about her offerings on QVC that stand out, or any reason to buy them from QVC rather than one of the other stores.
IMO for there to be a point to even having an Ellen line of goods they need to be something connected to her in the media - pet foods and pet products, for example. If she really wants to promote her designs or designs she actually likes that are representative of her, there needs to be something uniquely Ellen about them. There is absolutely nothing unique about what I'm seeing sold under her name at QVC.
