I have owned two Dysons and now have the DC41 Animal. While I like the job it does on the floors I do agree that the wand is absolutely horrible. Difficult to pull up, unwieldy, uncomfortable to hold and use and then when you finally get it set up it has virtually no suction. Plus when using the wand the main unit tips over constantly when trying to extend the hose to its fullest length. However designed that thing needs to be sent back to vacuum design school.
