I have a Dyson DC40, we love it with one exception. We have long hair dogs and within 3 weeks of daily use the carpet attachment it gets all gummed up with hair. I have to take it completely apart to get the hair out of the interior par of the brush rollers. Is this something that I will have to live with or is there a way to keep the hair from getting inside of the rollers?

I have a golden retriever, so I feel your pain (plus there's me with a LOT of long hair!).

What attachment are you talking about? Not knowing, but figuring it's probably a pretty generic situation, I'd say that it's most likely unavoidable to have to clean the long dog hair out frequently.

I have Dysons and love them, but I tried the DC40 and didn't love that one so they traded me up for a DC41, which I love.

We got a Tangle Free turbine attachment from a vendor on Amazon. Works great. Doesn't have 'brush' type rollers at all, so no tangling.
