I received an advanced TSV alert of a new heater (1st pic) and I have a few more on my wish list.  I really want one of these but would like reviews/opinions if anyone has any of the below.  I like the fact the TSV tomorrow has 3 ambient light candle settings.  TIA!

I'm curious about these too. The new one has lots of colors available.

Another thing important to me is a timer, must have a timer. I'm very apt to fall asleep a night lately reading or watching TV so I need a timer.

Re: Duraflame Lantern Heaters

I have the second pictured heater (among many other Duraflame heaters), and love it so much I actually bought four of them.

They are more pricey than the upcoming TSV, but I think they have a more elegant and nicer/more finished look.

The one in the second picture is last year's model and you can see the online presentations.

The top will come off the ones I have, for cleaning inside and for putting some decor/filler/candle rings around the candle.

The down side is that the candle is fixed and at that strange angle, which I thought would bother me, but it doesn't.

These are just as powerful as the full size stove type heaters, heats just as big an area and at the same cost for electric. The last year's model is quartz, don't remember if the upcoming TSV is or not.

I believe picture number three is an indoor/outdoor heater, and I don't really understand the purpose of an electric outdoor heater. Tethered to a cord limits is usefulness.

Duraflame makes another lantern/heater that has more like cathedral window look to it, and I wish QVC would get that one in.

@ChiliPepper

No timer on most Duraflames anymore (some older ones I have do have a timer). I often let mine run all night, plus I have the remote so if I get too warm, I can simply turn it off by remote without getting up.

Other than not wanting to waste electric, they are safe to let run for many hours.

@Mominohio

I remember us all talking about that last year, how the candle is slightly turned to one side.

I really like these, I had no idea they were as powerful as the larger ones.

Right now, I only have this little one plus a small fireplace type in my bathroom (not Duraflame):

@ChiliPepper@Mominohio, I was afraid to post this pic for fear of having this poofed.  This one runs $200-$220.  Totally love the window treatment! One thing going for the TSV is the Lantern is designed differently than my other Heritage Luminara lanterns to eliminate redundancy of the design.  Totally love this one!

@Mominohio, for some reason my memory recalls you commenting on the noise factor. Not sure if it was regarding the second pic you said you have.  I am torn between the one you have & the upcoming TSV.

Re: Duraflame Lantern Heaters

I would be mildy interested in one of these if the candle was a Luminara, but as it is, it's just not my cup of tea.  Part of the appeal of their fireplaces is that you get a realistic looking flame that provides ambience as well as heat.  This just looks like a pulsing pillar in a lantern, to me.

I was going to order the TSV but I like the look of the older one better

The older lantern (2nd) picture looks so much more elegant/substantual than the new TSV one. I also prefer the other one's slanted candle. Darn I hope they bring that one back in more colors...I want the turquoise.
