I finished my reorganizing , cleaning and purging of my kitchen. All the cabinets have been cleaned and reorganized and the outsides spritzed and washed with a product the housekeeper loaned me. She always gives the outside of the cabinets a wipe down but I wanted to really give them a through cleaning. Whatever the stuff is she loaned me - they are bright and shiny clean and it made the kitchen smell like oranges.I'm gonna use it on the BR vanities today as well.Everything we brought home from our summer camp after we sold it now has found a permanent home in the house.I'm so glad this job is done. It's so nice to have the house back to normal! All our belongings inside and put away. So I'm good til spring cleaning 2019.

@151949

I bet that's a nice feeling considering your "life" has been on a emotional roller coaster with the sale of your home and what transpired.

I hope you are now able to sit back and relax on some sunny beach in FL with a cool drink in hand and get renewed!

I know that's a great feeling when our houses are in order!!!

CONGRATS!!!!

You are so right. Our lives have been on an emotional roller coaster since last summer when we went through selling our camp in Pa. - then home and starting to try to get a truckload of stuff put away here. Then, totally by accident, finding a dream home, putting this one on the market. All that transpired, and now, finally FINALLY, getting settled down  here, and back to normal.It's been a very long about 10 months.

But it did all work out, thankfully. I know you had some less than ideal neighbors but that could happen anywhere.

@151949 Ahhhh, that sounds wonderful. Congratulations. I am hoping in two months I can say the same thing. We are selling our rental and I've spent seven days a week since March 1 getting it ready and feel like my home and yard are suffering. The listing will go live May 7, so I'm relieved. I used the Kilim beige you said you have in your home and it looks great. Good job, @151949.

Glad you like the beige. I love it! We still have the original builders paint on the walls here and I keep threatening to hire a painter. However, if we do paint, I think it will still be the same color, just a better grade of paint, something washable.

Many of our neighbors are leaving to go north because they have yard work to get done.It's a shame because Apr/may are the nicest weather all year down here. We were lucky when we snowbirded we stayed in our camper up north in a campground. If we did not get there to mow & trim the campground did it for us and charged $10/month against our CC so we never felt any need to rush up there like people who have homes do.

@151949  Sherwin-Williams has a paint that is between an eggshell and a flat.  It doesn't have as much of a sheen as eggshell does, but it's washable.  That's what I used on my painter's recommendation, and I'm happy with it.

@pattypeep  I just finished painting my entire house inside, and I used Kilim Beige, too.  I love it.

Re: Done - finished - complete

My cousin & his wife were over Saturday night and we were discussing paint , as they plan to paint this summer. The wife asked me what color our walls are and I told her - now here is proof men are DENSE: My cousin said  which walls are that color - his wife winked at me & said they are all that color. He said no sir, and we all laughed. He had never noticed , coming here 8 years now, that the walls are all the same color. Then he said what a pretty color it is. He came back yesterday to see the color in the daylight and liked it even more. So another convert to kilim beige walls.

@151949@NickNack  My niece, who is our realtor, brought her stager over to figure things out before we go live on the sale and she loved the wall color (she is also an interior decorator). She said you did good and I told her that I had help from a blogger. LOL
