you run into your UPS delivery person in public, and your SO is with you? Kind of a moment of panic!
I follow a FB page for Temp-tations collectors, and someone on there mentioned that she was at a function with her hubby, and they ran into their UPS man. She about croaked, hoping he wouldn't mention all the deliveries that have been coming to their house (and being the professional he is, he didn't mention it).
But I just have to say, you all who would rather keep your deliveries private have it one step better than I do. My husband works for UPS (mechanic) and is on a first name basis with all the drivers, and sees them all come in from their routes each night as they park their trucks.
I know I'm ratted out each time a load arrives! Good hubby doesn't say much though, as he has his own vice, auctions!

seems a shame when anyone is afraid to run into their UPS man..maybe that person needs to re-evaluate their purchases...or their relationship with their spouse....

I'm married to a UPS man, too. He is a good husband, but looks out for his fellow UPSers, too. He put a large box at the end of our long driveway (off of the road & slightly down the driveway, so it can't be confused with the mailbox) & labeled it UPS/FedEx. That way the drivers don't have to come all the way back our driveway every time they have a delivery. Then he texts me as he leaves for work "you have a box". LOL Gotta love that.

Wouldn't bother me a bit. My DH knows about any purchases I make because he does the household accounts. He would never question why I bought something. He figures I can use my own good judgment.

I've never been much of a die hard shopper at all but I lived that life once with the ex.
never again.

I don't think my UPS man would recognize me. He drops the package and runs. I sometimes hear a thud on the front porch. By the time I get there, the truck is driving away.

Same here. I've never seen him. DH would likely recognize him, as he's home more than I am. When a package arrives, DH takes a photo of it and sends it to me, because he knows how much I delight in receiving them. Sometimes I order him little things from Amazon Prime - things I could easily purchase at a local store, but he gets a kick out of getting something addressed to him :-) Yep. We're simple folk.

My husband sees our UPS driver, and our mailman far more often than I see them, as he is usually on the porch when both deliver. He enjoys seeing and talking with both of them, and is always quick to tell when I start my holiday shopping----they've been delivering Christmas presents since April.
