I do not use fabric softners of any type,or brand not good for your clothes, tried many clean laundry detergents, if your clothes do not get very dirty, like working outside that type of thing,i found that mollys suds, and clean people the best, how ever i still usr tide on towels, wash cloths ect.

I use Nellie's laundry soda on everything.
No liquid fabric softener, dryer sheets or any other product to provide a scent or softness. Those types of products are made with toxic chemicals and coat your fabrics.
Some laundry detergents also have too many chemicals and leave residue and brightness on your fabric. They shorten the lifespan of your clothing.
I used to use Tide, but no more. It contains chemicals that can harm your kidneys and liver.

I've used Nellie's on and off and use white vinegar for fabric softener.

I got a new washer earlier this month, and the salesman had nothing good to say about fabric softener. As far as detergent, I heard those pods have micro plastic particles that end up in the water, and eventually our bodies. Right now I use Arm & Hammer or Gain liquid. When they are used up, I might investigate a healthier alternative.

I've been using Clean People laundry sheets over a year now and we love it! Half sheet for a load for us. Just now got the wool dryer balls.

@Carmie "I used to use Tide, but no more. It contains chemicals that can harm your kidneys and liver."
Exactly how?
In my 70+ yrs on this planet, never heard of anyone suffering kidney or liver damage from using Tide or any other clothes detergent. Have you?
I'm from the lye soap & Tide generation. Since Tide at one time (maybe still is?) was/is the highest-selling detergent brand in the world, there are a lot of baby boomers walking around w/damaged kidneys & livers if they are not already dead.

@AuntG"I heard those pods have micro plastic particles that end up in the water, and eventually our bodies. "
Source? And does this same source explained how micro plastic particles end up in the water, eventually in our bodies & not the laundry detergent itself?

@Carmie That is what so confusing to me. How do these cancer causing chemicals get into the body? What you & 1 other are stating, it's as if people are drinking detergent!
And another thing, if Tide is that dangerous, why is it still on the market all over the world?
I can't imagine a doctor telling someone they got cancer because of the deteregent they use. Does that even come on their radar, asking a cancer patient what detergent they use?
