Re: Does anyone still take a bath?

I hate showers. I have a knee that needs to be replaced and it's painful to stand. I have trouble getting out of the tub, but it's so worth it to me to soak in hot water. Have always loved a bath.

Re: Does anyone still take a bath?

We do not have a tub in our new home.  Two bathrooms, two showers which we much prefer over a tub.  IMO showers are more relaxing and you're cleaner by showering as opposed to a tub bath.  Think about it.

We had a tub in our former home and had not used it for many years, so why pay for a tub in our new home.

I haven't had a bath in 50 years! I do, however, shower!

After our house burned in 2019, we rebuilt and replaced the garden tub with this.

It's never been used.

I used to live in the tub but now my sanctuary is the shower.

But not the shower in the photo.  That hasn't been used, either.

Boy, would I love to steal your bathtub. I would soak in there until my skin pruned!  You can keep your shower....I hate them. Your bathroom rebuild is lovely!

I don´t have the patience. I tried many times. Not for me.

Shower, oh yea.

Re: Does anyone still take a bath?

I love to soak in a bath, especially if it's really cold out.  My tub is deep, but it's still a regular sized tub.  No candles, no book, but I do listen to music in the bath.

It can be hard sometimes to get out of--I call my husband--help!

I insisted on a tub in the master bath when we built 3 years ago.  It has a shower head, too, but I'll never use it for showering.

We have a nice oversized tiled shower and also an really nice enclosed outdoor shower.  (I love to shower outside--especially when it's chilly!)

My grandchildren love to use the tub in my bath--even the boys.  They love the outside shower, too.

I find that taking a bath was relaxing, but I always showered afterwards.  I never felt as though I was rinsed off properly.  I don't feel clean with dirty soapy water still on my skin. If that soap leaves a film in the tub, it's on my skin too.

So, no, I prefer to shower.

That's why I think baths are gross.  Unless, you shower after one.
