I had to replace my tile roof, house is 21yrs old the HOA would never let us change color didn't know you can stain it. Roofers used the same tile that was up there, they took tile off replaced the tar paper & re tiled them. Also I learned tile isn't clay, it's cement stained to look like clay. I have a 1 story house & to redo this was $13,000. Our neighbors have had to replace their roofs too. Could you wait til you need a new roof & then do it the way you want?
