I have a double bed - never had an issue with sheets no matter where I bought them.
I start at the top of the bed and tuck the corners of the mattress into the sheet pockets.
Then grab the sheet and pull down to the foot of the bed and tuck in that end.

Nope, I'm a fan of fitted sheets and don't have any problem with them at all, even folding them!
I've bought sets from Kohl's years ago, that still look like new. And I've bought multiple sets of the Premier (Hotel) range from Sam's Club that are just as good. We have deep mattresses, so getting the right kind of sheets was important. Also, the elastic on the sets I have is substantial; that makes a big difference.
The ones from Kohl's (and I think Sam's) even have tags that tell you whether it's a bottom or side edge, so no guessing!
I'd never use a flat sheet on the bottom.

What's worse is if you have an adjustable bed! Fitted sheet just comes off on end or the other🤦🏻♀️, a real pain! I've been just throwing on a flat sheet, untucked and solves the problem.

Most of my sheets are Land's End. No issues with fit, I have a 14.5" king mattress and the guest bedroom is a Queen of the same height.
They do offer flat shhets in Queen and King.

I Love having a fitted sheet.I can remember my aunt and grandma had only flat sheets. I can't imagine using a flat sheet on the bottom. Wal-Mart sells single sheets and pillow case's. Actually we don't use a second sheet just the fitted sheet. We each use our own comforter. We had a bed made normal in the beginning but I tend to roll over while I'm sleeping and pull bed clothes and my wife got tired of not having covers so we started using our own comforter. Problem solved. We have been living together for 23 years and it's been a long time since we started using our own comforter.

@chrystaltree , I always find the tag on the fitted sheet and put that on the right hand bottom. This helps me trying to find what goes where. It would especially be difficult with a king size bed without that little "trick".

My mattress is only 12" thick so it's a real trick to find fitted sheets that fit. I can't stand to have my bottom sheet all wrinkled up. I've learned to read the complete descriptions now. If they say they'll fit a 16" mattress, I know that won't work. The problem is that I'm apparently in the minority and need to upgrade to a thicker mattress.

I've run the gambit with sheets for our bed, a sleep number adjustable bed. Because the head and foot of the bed moves the sheets are a Pain in the Butt!! Too tight and they will pop off when the head raises. I've used 'garters' that attach to the sheets and pulled tight once the sheets are on, elastic garters that cross each corner....the bed is a blessing for my husband's acid reflux but I hate that bed.

No. I have no problem with them. I don't buy microfiber sheets and don't use a flat sheet. There are various depths for fitted sheets so I'm not sure why it shoud be a problem. I also only buy cotton/poly sheets not 100% cotton.

Several years ago, we purchased an adjustable bed because we thought it would help DH's numerous back/neck issues. I'm ashamed to say that it cost us nearly $5000. It is two twin XL beds pushed together and each one moves on its own.
Well, turns out he hated that bed. I had no problem with the sheets staying on, but it required two twin XL sheets on the bottom with a king flat sheet on the top. Each mattress was super comforatble, but the whole adjutable situation was very awkward.
When we moved here two years ago, we decided to put it in the guest room and I've been dressing it like a king. However, though we seem to have a revolving door of guests, most of them are single people who don't require a king size bed.
Our next two visitors are DH's aunt and her cousin, who are stopping for a night on either end of their trip to Georgia. I thought it was a good time to separate the beds and treat them as singles.
I found these on A-zon last night and ordered four of them for tops and bottoms. I ordered full size because it seems the manufacturers are getting sneakier and sneakier and there is barely enough length on the sides to tuck in properly.
Fingers crossed that they work as I'm imagining.
