I would say a man's room, although many parts of it look like a woman.  I hope you will tell us @lolakimono .  I am very curious.

Woman.   A man wouldn't put up with no large bedside table and having to swat back those curtains to get to the stuff on the bedside table.

I say this because, of the picture hanging on the right of the bed, looks to me anyhow, like there is a couple -  a man and a woman - (on the left side) - that’s my take of that artwork anyhow.

I would say this room belongs to someone who lives in the Hamptons or somewhere near the shore or beach (depending on which coast your from).  They are either very wealthy or like to dust, and have beautiful taste or a great decorator  Probably a guest room.  So neither male or female.

Very masculine.

Why?

Colors.  Blue pinstriped bedsheets.  Dark walls.  Brown accents.

The style of the chest.  Bamboo shade.  Pictures on the walls.  Striped rug on the floor.

Not sure how much men would like the fabric hangings from the bed, but the plant print and colors can be masculine.  Also, not sure men would have yellow flowers in their bedrooms.  I wouldn't rule it out, though.  

How can we articulate what is masculine other than having experience with what they are more likely to have chosen in the past?  The room is definitely not very feminine.  

Now, are you @lolakimono going to tell us this is a female's room?

LOL, I don't know if the owner is male or female, but the designer is a man.  I just thought it would be interesting to see how others interpreted the room.
