Re: Does Anyone Use A Natural Laundry Detergent?

I've been using laundry soap from a company called Dirty Labs.  Love the laundry soap and the dishwashing powder.  They have a laundry starter kit that comes with the natural soap and a silicone cup that you fill and throw in the washer.  You use very, very little for a large load.  Under 2 teaspoons for a normal load. I have a water softener, so I use half that.  My clothes come out clean, fresh and soft, even the grunge from our ranch clothes.  I also love their dishwasher powder.  1 tablespoon and everything comes out really clean.  Agaiin, I use 1/2 tablespoon for a full load of dishes.  The company offers a discount if you get auto ship.  You can also order thru Amazon.

I use Branch Basics for everything from all-purpose cleaner, bathroom cleaner, hand soap, to laundry. And zero residue issues in my washer.

The only thing I don’t use it for is the toilet but I haven’t tried either.

I like NaturOli soap nuts/berries or their liquid detergent (Extreme 18X).  It has cleaned out other detergent residues from synthetic fabrics, and I have also used it to hand wash cashmere sweaters with great results.  For sale on Amazon. Here is the back of the bottle from the liquid detergent.IMG_1229.jpeg

yes the scent is barely detectable in the bottle and not at all after washing!

I was so grateful because this same company used to offer a "scent-free" style, but then discontinued.

So I ordered this one out of desperation and have been very pleased. I am very sensitive to scent also!

I see Amazon has it for $35 for a 64 oz bottle or $73 for set of 4. Don't really want to buy 4 bottles until I try it. The set of 4 is low stock on Amazon & Wal-Mart.

I will have to see if I can find 1 bottle some place else at a better price.

I will look. I don't remember paying that much for my bottle. Never purchased in multiples.

$35 Seems like highway robbery to me, but I was pretty desperate.
I will also check and see how often I buy it.

When I first started purchasing (2022) the unscented liquid was $15.99.

It was disc, last spring I began buying this one and last time paid $27.

You can purchase at Amazon from this seller for $27.

Re: Does Anyone Use A Natural Laundry Detergent?

I tried Nellies from HSN.  Total waste of money, time and resources.  It did not get the clothes clean the first wash. Even basic garden dirt did not come clean let alone stains. I tried another "natural" detergent. Forgot the name, started with a P. Same results.  I went back to my Tide Free and Gentle or All Free and Clear.  These detergents get the clothes clean the first wash in all temps.

My husband asked me to use Earth Breeze sheets for his laundry. He likes that brand. No fragrance.

Re: Does Anyone Use A Natural Laundry Detergent?

I tried Beekman laundry powder and also their liquid version. The only way that I could get the powder to dissolve was by measuring it into a lidded container with hot water, shake and then pour that into the washer. Neither did a good job on cleaning, so I'm back to Tide Free and Gentle. I do not use any fabric softener or dryer sheets.

I use Nellie's and i especially like it for towels.  They are much softer and absorbant.
