Re: Do you wash clothes at the beginning of the season?

I put them away clean and wash before I put them back in the closet. (At least I stopped washing them before I packed them up also)

Just washed my white pants today, just don't seem fresh after storing all winter

Re: Do you wash clothes at the beginning of the season?

Ladybug, do you have well water? After my parents moved into a house with well water, years ago, all of their laundry had a strange smell.

The only laundry items that I have an issue with are my sheets. My linen closets in this house are in the bathrooms. So, I usually only keep two sets of micro fleece sheets for the winter, and two sets of summer sheets. And, I alternate every week. If they sit in the linen closet for longer than that, they don't smell fresh. I think it's just from the humidity.

So, when I get ready for my warm weather sheets, I will freshly wash them. But, my clothes are fine, and many of them I wear all year. Luckily I have enough closet space to keep everything hanging.

When I used to pack things away, with the change of seasons, I always freshly washed everything when I pulled it back out.

"I've been here since October 2006. Wow!"
