We purchased my son's bedroom set when he was 11 or 12 yrs old and not too tall. He currently sleeps on a full sized mattress (the bed is a beautiful, modern, platform bed so there is no box spring) and he has really outgrown it. He's over 6'1" and a Sr in high school. We would like to keep the same full sized platform bed, but just purchase a queen mattress. The bed measurements are 57 1/2 in x 77 in and a queen mattress measures 60 in x 80 in. There will be a little "overhang" from the queen mattress, but I would think this wouldn't pose too much of a problem.
Do you think this will work? Has anyone had any experience with this?
