Oh, lucky you! I do not have an outdoor drying yard, and I can well understand that it doesn't mean the same thing to you, but just reading about it makes me want to run get a load of wash going! I love hanging laundry outside. I love clothespins. I love hanging different items out just so, to keep them unwrinkled and ready to fold. I love taking them down. I love to fold clothes--jto be fair, I still get to do that, but they never smell quite as good.

@akaburtonfan Got a chuckle out of your post and the birds.
My mother used to hang clothes on the line all the time. Then years later, we found out it was bad for people with allergies......I'm allergic to almost everything except poison ivy.
I use devices that fit over the tops of my doors to hang wet clothes and keep the ceiling fan on in that room until the clothes are dry.

In the tub/shower, I use a spare shower curtain rod that can sit on the top of the tile on one side and the hanging soap / brush / misc. holder suspended from a nail. I can roll the rod back against the wall when no longer needed.
In the basement, DH has hung a wide diameter set of PVC pipes that I can place golf shirts, tops, blankets, etc.
Cheap and easy things that make laundry day less a nuisance.

How I'd love a real closeline! Our HOA doesn't allow them, so I've lived for 32 years without one. I miss one year-round for sheets . . . nothing like fresh sheets! I also like to hang blankets, comforters, quilts, and bedspreads to air out on a regular basis, especially if someone has been sick. Trying to hang them in my laundry room doesn't freshen them out nearly as well as the outside air. You've made me so envious since it's a lovely summer day and is perfect to hang items outside on a closeline. Enjoy yours!

No, can't have one in the current house. Had one in the previous house and used it whether the weather allowed. I do miss it.

I don't have a clothes line but I do have a clothes hanger on wheels that I take outside to hang clothes on....

Nope, never had one and don't want one. I remember mom had one when I was a kid. I have no desire to hang stuff outside in 118 degree heat. It might be dry before I could even hang it up.
