No and they are against the covenant where we live.

Yes.........but it's inside the garage.

@qualitygal Yes, I have one and use it. I used to have the 2 post with lines strung between them.
Whe my hip got back years ago my husband got one of those aluminum umbrella things that go in the ground. He was afraid I would fall down the porch steps carrying a laundry basket so he attached it to my side porch. I can fold it when not in use. I love hanging clothes out.
My porch faces a barn and a small pasture and the bull doesn't mind it on the porch.

Not anymore but I was probably one of the last holdouts for using one. Our backyard is wooded and kind of private so it wasn't very noticeable. I still like to air dry blouses and sweaters so I use an umbrella type with arms that I hang things on hangers and it can hold about 12 - four on each arm. Got it from the Q and it works great.

Nope not for more tears that I care to remember.

In my first house - DH put one of those "umbrella" clothes lines. Just one pole that opened like an umbrella.
It spun around so you only had to stand in one place and turn it to hang.
The pole fit into a pipe thing in the lawn - and was removable. I could put it in the garage when not using it.
It was handy.
I live in an apt now - we have a laundry room.

Yes, I have one in garage for summertime use. Garage heats up here in Texas and dries some items quicker than my gas dryer. My husband installed two J hooks in ceiling and then attached a large piece of ranch fencing (similar to chicken wire). The fencing allows for even spacing of hangers and prohibits the clothing from sliding into each other. I am happy with his creation.

No, we live in a retirement complex and outdoor clothes lines are not allowed. I sometimes hang an item on a hanger to dry but mostly use the dryer.

If this community"allowed" it I'd have one just to hang my sheets.
Always loved the fresh smell of line dried sheets (and clothes). When I was a kid my grandmother hung everything on clothesline & whenmy kids were young I had a clothesline and hung clothes everyday.
Oh the simpler times..

Haven't had a clothsline since 1970...I do hang a few things to dry in my laundry room.
