My husband and I have been discussing house plans for 2018.

Do you have any?

My husband and I fully designed our home and had it built. We live on 120 acres and I hope I never have to leave here as I love it so much.

It’s a special time when you can design your own home. : )

My husband and I have lived in our wonderful home for 38 years. We do something new and special to it each year. Such a blessing.

My husband and I have lived in our wonderful home for 38 years. We do something new and special to it each year. Such a blessing.

@Regal Bee I may have misunderstood you. I thought “house plans” meant building. Doing something new to one you already love is extra special. After 38 years that is Home. I love that you do that. : )

We feel blessed to have got this land. If you knew the story—it’s just a miracle that we fully attribute to God. We are so thankful.

We just got a new furnace, ha, the least glamorous of upgrades. But our old one was such an antique, it had to go.

We toy with various scenarios of small additions; not sure what we'll come up with next.

I would love to see our rather large, walk-up attic in our vintage house turned into a sky-lit studio or master bedroom suite. But it's so nice to have all that storage up there now.....it's fun to daydream though...

First, on my lengthy list, is a new kitchen floor : )

I'd love a dark wood-look.......have a large dog and always lots of damp boots/sneakers/paws coming in that area : )

Would like to replace 2 more windows in this very old home.........I do a few each year ~

And the list goes on............................

New carpet in family room and up the stairs and new tile in the entry way.

We are also taking out our back yard garden pond and installing a pondless waterfall.

Nope, no plans. I live here alone and I'm getting to that stage in life where home ownership and its upkeep is becoming a headache. Having a hard enough time keeping up with maintaining what is here. I don't think I need to add or remodel at this time and besides, I won't be here long enough to get my money's worth if I did.
