Re: Do you consider yourself a Rug Person??

I have Royal Palace rugs all over my house, my floors are hardwood, bamboo and tile. Floors like that are too hard and cold to live on 24/7, I like the soft comfort of wool rugs.

I am a rug junkie but I've had big hairy dogs and it was a losing battle keeping them clean.

But now that they are gone -- old age--- I'm sure I'll get back to rugs.

@persiflage....same, went to great lengths to find our hardwood floors and had them installed in every room except the bathrooms.  I've loved beautiful rugs since I was young,  I also like the gleam of the bare  wood floors, not a fan of wall-to-wall carpet.

I think an area rug, even on carpet, can make or break a room.  They add warmth, color, texture and pattern.  I always have one in front of my sofa.  I have a collection in the general 3' X 5' size range and I switch them out.  I also have a bunch of Navajo rugs, I don't even know how many, stored in a cedar chest.  I've never used them,  except to hang one on the wall, because of my dogs.  The two dogs I've got now are very trustworthy so I should haul one out.

i never liked rugs because i would very often trip on them when i was younger, so up to this day, i refuse to have one. add to that, i feel they're just a trap for dust and lint and all of that good stuff. instead, i have very nice hardwood floors and pretty tiles, and that works out better for me.

A big NO for me; never been a fan of rugs.   I do have them inside each door, one in the main bathroom for my girls to use when they step out of the tub, and my husband wanted one at the side of the bed.   My teacher daughter bought a large one for her room.   No other rugs here.

Re: Do you consider yourself a Rug Person??

We added hardwood on the main floor last year and I searched a long time to find the perfect rugs for the family, living & dining rooms!  I love how they look!   In the family room we have a good sized rug under the glass coffee table next to the sofa.  I got another smaller version of it to place by the fireplace where we keep the dog's first floor bed.

I think a room that has either hardwood or tile is a little cold in appearance without a rug or two.  A rug not only adds warmth but can balance out furniture as well as add texture, design & color.

I can't imagine not having them...  a room would seem unfinished.

Not a rug person. I do not like wall to wall carpeting.

I prefer hardwood flooring, ceramic tiling et cetera.

I do enjoy Royal Palace rugs. I can roll them up and put aside.

I use area rugs but would never opt for wall to wall carpeting.

I fall in the middle.  I like a few rugs.
