Re: Do These Elements Work Well Together?

I do think it works. I like different and this is just that.

Would I want it in my home ..probably not but I do like it.

It doesn't work for me.  It's a little too eclectic and I don't really care for most of the decor/pieces in this bathroom.

Too many ‘levels’.

The eye can’t land on one.

For a supposed ‘calming’ atmosphere,

I’m kinda getting stressed out just looking at the picture!

@IamMrsG   I love those options.  The first one was what I had in mind, but I love the others too!!

Re: Do These Elements Work Well Together?

Overall, the elements work to create a country French vibe. Personally, I'd use those beautiful furniture pieces and the mirror in a room other than a bath, but they do work here. The two possible disconnects for me are what appear to be pinch pleat draperies in the space, where curtains, and fuller curtains at that, would probably be more in the spirit of the overall look, and the floor. While the tile floor is potentially an 'authentic' look, I'm not sure the small octagonal shaped tiles in various colors is. Moreover, while I do think the curtain pattern works in a country French design, I don't like the floor pattern with the curtain pattern. Overall, to me, the room is pleasing to the eye, but I'd covet that armoire to use in a more important space.

All of it speaks "South" to me.  The warmth of the tile floor is welcome, I'd switch out the gingham curtains to something warmer, a little more elegant, for balance.  Other than that, it does work well together.

Looks like they plopped this tub in the middle of a bedroom. Love that floor!

Bathtub seems to be a last minute thought.....room works without it!  They did not achieve what they wanted...it just did not work!

Re: Do These Elements Work Well Together?

I would paint the walls a tan color. The color now on the walls doesn't work with the dark wood of the furniture and flooring tiles. The curtains don't work at all. To country for this more formal space. Just remove them altogether.  I would must likely remove the ceiling lighting fixture and replace with a small chandelier.
