I love seeing all the inside photos of gorgeous, elaborate beautiful homes, but no place on line have I seen very many places that look like my every day home or any of my friends' homes.

Does anyone here follow every day, nothing spectacular, but pretty, well put together rooms?

Would like to follow some forums that resemble that.

I hope this posting is understandable.

I understand what you're saying but I don't think that many people would want to look at or find interesting average or simple home decor. I think people look at higher end or even extravagant rooms to find their inspiration.

I understand completely what you posted.  I don't think I have ever seen a site where the homes or rooms are very, very simple and basic.  Most show what I call "fancy" or expensively or elaborately decorated homes.  They are beautiful but they don't look comfortable to me or, even if I could afford them, they do not suit my style or way of life.  I guess the simple homes and way of decorating, most would not find very interesting or exciting to look at.

I think HGTV magazine does a good job of depicting everday-homes with decor. At the very least it is more imagjnable.

@Flatbush there are a ton of home decorating groups on Facebook.  Many of the posts/pics are of average homes showing what the owner has done to enhance the space or the owner is asking questions concerning the space. "Home Design and Decor" might meet your needs, but if not, there are a plethora of others.  I like the farmhouse style, so I follow several of those groups.  Just do a search for your style of decorating.

@Flatbush ,  here are a few sites that might offer some of what you're looking for.  Of course, they might slip in some stylish, over-designed dwellings here and there, but they do also offer more approachable designs--

1). COTTAGES AND BUNGALOWS  online site

2) COUNTRY LIVING--    Wide variety of homes, not necessarily luxe

3) APARTMENT THERAPY-   at their Home Tours category, you can customize what you want to see-- they show tons of small apartments to medium size dwellings, from around the world.  This might be the best fit for you, since they're all real homes, submitted by real homeowners--

4) ANDREA @designmorsels.   Andrea is a trained designer, true, but specializes in down to earth solutions for regular homeowners.

5). THE GARDENER'S COTTAGE.    She posts very rarely now, but has a backlog of beautiful pages on her own small, calmly decorated home.  Nice source of inspiration.

Rats, I know I'm forgetting some good ones!  If they come to mind, will add to list later.

6). THE INSPIRED ROOM

She likes homey rooms, in her house, and also in that of others',  that she shows in her Sunday Strolls and Scrolls section--

Honestly, I could never live in most of those homes. The key word is "live"......I always said if I couldn't put newspaper on my kitchen table to re-pot a plant, it probably wasn't the place for me.

@Flatbush.  I agree, I dont really relate to mansions with elaborate drapreries, antiques and fancy upholstery.  I dont know anyone who does.  I'd like to see pictures of actual, livable homes in which average people live.

@Kachina624  You would probably love my house especially when my grandsons are visiting...toys and cookie crumbs everywhere and I love it. 🥰
