I currently use Cascade pods but it leaves rust spots on my stainless flatware. I also use Jet Dry rinse aid. Can anyone reccomend a better dishwasher product? BTW, the flatware is quite old.

I use Finish because I am afraid all that plastic will gum up my dishwasher. Finish is a pod but you take off the wrapper.

Usually it's either Finish tablets or Cascade Complete liquid. Whatever you end up choosing, avoid the citrus variety in any of them as it can permanently etch your glassware.

My dishwasher was recently repaired and the repairman said to use a gel rather than pods or powder. I am now using Finish gel with the jet dry rinse aid. Works well.

I use the Finish Quantum pods. I never take off the wrapper.

Don't forget to have the DW filter cleaned on a regular basis!

I use Finish Power Ball. Yes I take off the wrapper .

I have been using powder or pods because Consumer Reports said the liquids do not have the enzymes needed to clean, you need powder forms.

That said, I was using the Walmart version for a while since it was top rated. I moved to Finish Pods but I hate the greasy feel of stuff at the end so I have been taking the red ball off of my pods to elminate that slick finish.

I will go back to Walmart or Cascade powder when I am done with this mega box from Costco.
