Just to let you know, here is some food for thought. Soy based candles if not organic can contain pesticides. Soy is a little cheaper to use than high grade paraffin, but some like it better. There is a big debate in the candle world about which is better soy or paraffin, and I am not an expert. Maybe that is why NEST can offer soy candles at a great price? But I also think NEST wouldn't want to harm their reputation by putting out products that didn't live up to their name!
Anyone who buys the QVC candles from NEST post how you like them

If it is the Slatkin people that created the NEST line and that company that created the lesser expensive Nest candles at Target, I'm wondering what the difference is, to make the Target ones such poor quality. I have no doubt that the actual NEST candles are stellar quality. I thought that the Target ones wouldn't be that great but I didn't expect them to burn so poorly.
I just can't wrap my head around paying $35 for an 8 oz. candle or whatever it is they charge. They have the huge candles on the Nordstrom website for $225, I don't know if they are in the stores or not, I haven't looked. Who pays $225 for a candle?
This is mind boggling to me.

Nest candles burn for 50 hours, so that's pretty good compared to the 3-wick Slatkins which, in my opinion, only last about 24 hours if burned non-stop (and retail for $22). Overall, you get more bang for your buck with Nest.If it is the Slatkin people that created the NEST line and that company that created the lesser expensive Nest candles at Target, I'm wondering what the difference is, to make the Target ones such poor quality. I guess so. And you know about Slatkin, I think that several years ago the quality of their candles was much much better than it is now. I don't know why that is. I have read numerous complaints about drowning wicks with the triple wick candles. In fact I haven't bought one in a long time.
I guess if you really do get 50 hours from a Nest candle, it would be worth the price! I may have to try one, just to see how great they are.

I'm not sure about the price differences either. But I have been getting my Nest candles at Neiman Marcus the last few years for my Christmas scents and they are amazing. I tried the line at Target and they do not compare. I dont know what makes such a difference, but they sure dont compare.

I stopped by my local candle shop today and picked up my first "Sir Elton John Fireside Classic" candle of the season. While I was there, I smelled the other holiday candle called "Sir Elton John Classic Holiday" candle, and I couldn't help but notice that it smells like the Target candle, "Holiday Wreath" by Nature's Wick. The woman who owns the store said that it lasts so much longer and has so much of a better scent when burned. I'm probably going to give it a shot.
