Where is a good place to find pretty decorative pillows?  I need new ones for my bedroom but am having a hard time.  All the places I've been thus far (Kohl's, Bed Bath and Beyond, JCPenney) have had ugly boring ones.

That's a good question.  I'm not often shopping for decorative pillows, but you're right - it's hard to find nice ones, reasonably priced.  Sometimes I can find one at Pier One.

@Barbara Mom of 5  This would be hard to say depending on the stores you have in your area.  I find a lot of great pillows at Big Lots, Anderson's General Store, Target, World Market, Old Time Pottery (tons there).

I also love to decorate my three bedrooms with accent pillows - as in my quilts, I have tons of different colored pillows.

Check out TJ Maxx I have purchased some great ones from there in the past.

I agree with ripka junkie.  TJ Maxx is a great place to find decorative pillows.  I've also found some great ones at Marshall's and Home Goods.  And once I scored some really cool Jonathan Adler pillows at Ross (I don't remember exactly what I paid for them, but I know it was an amazing deal).

I used to have tons of pillows but have been downsizing just to get back to basics.  I now have a set of pillows for Winter heavy comforters and spreads and a set for Summer for lightweight blankets.  It makes storage easier.

I still scout for new ones at most of the stores that other posters have listed, especially Homegoods.  I would add Tuesday Morning to their list though.

If a find new ones, the old set is recycled.

And they get in new things all the time. They change stock more than any other store I've seen, so if you keep checking back, there is always something new. Our TJ Maxx has a huge aisle of pillows most of the time.

And to the OP, I feel your pain, I was looking for some new pillows for my sofa, and literally looked for years. My sofa is from about 1992 and has the now outdated colors of blue and light mauve. I needed solid color pillows, preferably in one of those two colors, and there is just nothing out there that came close to matching. I gave up. I wanted something inexpensive, as I plan on getting a new sofa eventually, in a more neutral color, so even though I probably could have gone online and found something expensive, I've decided to wait.

I did, however, find some nice brown ones to go with a couple of recliners I have.

I don't know if you are near a Steinmart, but they have the best decorative pillows at a good price. They do offer online shopping now but unfortunately the selection is not like that in the store. Actually, I haven't checked online lately, maybe I should take another look.

Home Goods and Pier One are my go-tos for pillows.
