Decorating with (Movie) Posters

Here are two rooms in the same house.

Do you use (movie) posters in your decor?

If so, in what rooms/areas of the house?

I like the idea but I don’t use them.

If I had one on a wall it would be from The Sound Of Music.

Interesting - when i was a kid back in the mid 1960's,  had a wall of beautiful travel posters, my uncle had a connection at American Airlines and my mom used them as wall paper, they were amazing. I wish I had a photo

One, with a particularly great match to your decor, or to have a real significance (like your grandmother was in the movie), would be interesting in a home.

But they are big, and too many is just too much and too repetitive.

@lolakimono  So funny to see this, my brother gave me one on my last visit home Smaller in size 16x20 but it's from Gone with the Wind playing at the Fox theater in ATL. I love it!!

I also like them but it's not something I would use and decorate with.

If I had one of those super big homes with a Home Theatre in it, I would decorate with Movie Posters, but otherwise-No not my style, but I don't hate it either.....

Here ya go, @OKPrincess.  I don’t have any other movie posters in the house, but I love The Sound of Music and have been to the area of Austria where much of it was filmed, so I had to have it!  It’s in my pantry just off the kitchen.72EC3FE6-1E54-4DC6-B5FA-9016377DF9DA.jpeg

I like the way they look in the rooms in the OP, but I don't have any in my home.  Can't think of which ones I would want, if any.

I decorated with some magazine posters when I was a teen.  You know -- David Cassidy, Mickey Dolenz, Bobby Sherman.  LOL  Woman LOLWoman LOL

I love it. The scenery and music is outstanding. Thanks for posting. I may do a picture once my bedrooms are repainted. 💕
