Decorating real trees outside

I have some pine and 2 areas that are bloomers for spring/summer. This year we're decorating in a different way. I'd love some ideas on how to use our tree hangers and some of those bird seed hangers for the birds. I want to look out the picture window onto the snow and see these trees decorated. I love the contrast of the Cardinals in the snow!! It would be interesting to watch as my little girl and I look out. Any ideas on branch decorating. Probably no lights now.
