Ps and btw, Ross Simons!! That was who's omega necklace it was. Not that anyone cares, lol...but was bugging me I couldn't recall the name, as I've still seen his jewelry pop up on Instagram from time to time lately.

*****I'll delete this....Duh...I totally posted this on the wrong thread. It was supposed to be on the one someone started about her JAI clasp repair...I was saying I had a Ross Simons omega chain my local jeweler repaired the clasp for....lol...how the heck did I wind up posting it here?! Ok pay no mind. haha. 🤣 🙄

Eight place settings of Lenox ivory with gold rim china.  It was a lot of work to pack it all up, but the Salvation Army should be able to make a few bucks.  Feels great to share the dishes with someone else--they were in great near mint shape.

I sure wish I had not collected China - I ha e it accessible but rarely use...afraid of breaking, too much effort, etc.  I applaud your ability to say good by.  Hope someone can appreciate it .  You had a lovely pattern.

Re: Declutter 2025: What Have You Purged Today?

No major decluttering going on here, or needed (though, as we always say....you can usually find SOMEthing, no matter how "caught up" and organized you get!)

But today I did go through old papers on my desk and found a lot of either old junk mail, forms etc that could be shredded. Filed others. Caught up on things I needed to do further action or phone calls for. And went through the month's slips, receipts, to shred, toss.

Did drop off that one book, to my library donations, that I had set aside last week while the library was closed for renovations.

Haven't dug out my two dolls I mentioned last week, I'm STILL DEFINITELY donating, as soon as I do. No backpeddling, just fyi. Smiley Happy

That's all for now.

Re: Declutter 2025: What Have You Purged Today?

Whew! I just deleted 600 email messages. I'm exhausted! Haha! The sad thing is I still have a long way to go.😭

As part of our community cleanup, they are offering a free shredding day coming up soon. Unlike some of you, I don't own a shredder. I donated ours when we moved to this condo where I don't have a dedicated office. I'm not real judicious about shredding every little thing. These days I think criminals are much more sophisticated than digging in my garbage gluing torn up paper together. I will go through our brokerage statement files and have older statements shredded.

We are currently under a tornado warning and I was just startled as the sirens went off as well as my phone with an emergency alert. I am not going down to the parking garage, but I DO take tornadoes seriously. My husband's aunt and uncle lost their home during a tornado when they had 7 little kids. That same night several people died in my mom and dad's neighborhood.

I have stayed almost true to my no-buy vow. I did buy a dress to wear to a wedding (and  also a crepe blazer and flowy pants as a backup in case the weather is iffy), but otherwise I have not purchased any clothing.

I have NOT stayed true to cutting back on dining out. It's just what we do in the winter months for entertainment. And then when the weather turns nice, everyone wants to meet up at outdoor dining patios. Oh well, I  tried (and failed).😭

@Twins Mom Thank you--sweet of you to say and it is appreciated.  Unfortunately I have a lot more to go.  I am glad I collected it, from many trips, outlet malls etc.,  and it was wonderful to have and use it and have those memories.

Just a different life now.

A few outdated pantry items to the trash...that felt good.

6 single winter gloves to the trash - mates never turned up this winter.  (there were a couple cute ones, and they were all mine.😯)

One chiropractic pillow to trash.

@Twins Mom   I try to be extra careful with gloves, but somehow I always lose a mate.  How is that even possible?  🤨

I bought a new shredder, so I'll be shredding a lot in the coming days.

@lynnie61

I try to be careful with gloves but...

One nice glove was lost between a lighting store and parking lot. Even went back and retraced with no luck.  I have tried now to stay clear of black gloves that disappear in cars, etc.
