Been on a tear, a little all over the map, but making progress...
Threw out another small 1 lb, plastic deli container to store leftovers in. Threw out two containers of freezer burned leftover beans from freezer.
Tossed a tin that held some gifted to me tea, put the tea into one of my Temptations cannisters, until I try it, and see if I'lll actually drink it. It's from Asia, and a specific kind. I tend to be an "English tea" more than herbal gal, but this is supposed to be very coveted in Asia, so I'll give it a go. Maybe good for you...I will drink tea for "good health" at times too. Tossed another tea box and consolidated the two bags left from it into another box.
Went through more office areas yesterday...found a book to donate. One of my favorite authors, Alice Hoffman, but not her best book...tried, never could get through it, never will, life's too short, too many good books I want to read. Too bad...this was the one she signed when I met her at a local book signing. No matter.
Did more stashed paperwork...filled 2 shredder bags and tossed.
More areas to do today...we're supposed to get snow in CT this wknd, so this project will keep going. Went through two desk files of notebooks with old notes from workshops and stuff...went through each lined notebook, tore out all old info, shredded, now they're all blank or up to date, ready to use for new things.
Streamlined my bookshelves up here of excess framed photos, down to the keepers, less clutter on the bookshelves.
Tossed 3 old perfumes from my bedroom armoire drawer.
Before this gets too long...that's it for now! Happy wknd, y'all. ❄️ ⛄️

We're in the midst of an all day snowfall, so I decided to deep clean the bathroom. Luckily, I only have a few make-up items and our medicine cabinet isn't close to full. I found some bandages and gauze patches dating back to my husband's surgery, which got tossed. Also expired pepto tablets and aspirin. The sink, shower and all the cabinets look great. Our toilet still has some hard water marks, but it is as clean as I can get it. I'm thinking we should replace it with one of those higher models. Just have a fear that the 25 year old one might work better than water efficient ones. I suppose I should contact a plumber to get some options.

@magicmoodz I agree that Pink Stuff works great for surface cleaning. It has a refreshing scent. When my bottle gets low, I'm going to look on Amazon for some other Pink Stuff products.

I am continuing to go through my therapy materials and toys. I have three kitchen sized trash bags of things I am throwing away. I have a pile for Goodwill. I have a half a shelf of therapy materials I am keeping. I am giving away another pile of materials to my co-workers. I have two shelves of toys I am keeping and two shelves of toys I am saving to give away as Christmas gift to needy families next year.

Guest bedroom had DD decide what she needed to keep and what was throw away ready. Small canister of three year old candy canes into the trash. Laundry room pulled wipes gone dry, older hand sanitizer, and empty sanitizer bottles. Not a big purge, but felt good to go through.

Well, the snow is here...so we'll see maybe more decluttering today...though want to spend some time making soup and some other things. So that may take up the bulk of my "productive" time today, before I get lazy!
Yesterday...more work upstairs. Filled another shred bag, with old papers from a file I still have from mom's stuff before and after she passed, April 2020. Lots went but this file is still full...there are financials I still keep, death certs and papers from both parents, and just some paperwork I sometimes have to refer to, or just keep for records. But lots of old statements, bank accounts now closed etc went. The small file sits under my desk...doesn't really need to be displayed but really nowhere out of the way to stuff it right now. I'm trying to get stuff like this, that I don't need on a regular basis, out of my "sight line"...so maybe I'll think of some place easy to access, but out of the way, where it can live.
Went through the top two shelves of my craft table...
Found a box of mementos from mom's house and my childhood. Threw out 7 old playbills. Side note...I worked at a local live theater as a teen & in my 20's, and have several autographed playbills, not that I know what value they really have but kept them...lots of "legends" gone now...Perry Cuomo, Sammy Davis Jr., Harry Chapin, Paul Anka (still here! Gosh I met him so many times...the theater had a "reception line" after shows, which played all week. It was such a fun place to work) anyhoo...trip down memory lane.
Dusted, lemon oil polished the craft table. Got two more shelves to go through, though I doubt much is going there, just orgainizing better.
I think before I cook today I may poke around up there to see if there's any small tosses or going through/organizing I can do.
Happy Sunday, everyone ~ ❄️ ⛄️ ❄️
ps. @AuntG @magicmoodz re: Pink Stuff...I agree! Just tried it last year and I've used it, successfully, on stubborn grime that wouldn't come off with other stuff...stove stains, bathroom tile, grout, stainless steel sink, even some plastic/faux leather flip flops & sneaker-bottom stains. The "stuff" works!

Ok, only @Snicks1 saw my post but I just deleted it! Because I took a second look and the BR jacket is already back in the consignment pile! Color match wasn't as good as I first thought with my new pants, and decided it looks dated. DONE! For real! I do love when something goes back to the declutter pile.
I better hide that pile and make my appt. this week! (They're closed today or I'd call them now.)

You are on a mission with your decluttering efforts. You can be so proud for all you have accomplished.
We were supposed to have a winter storm yesterday and I thought what a great day to stay inside doing chores. Instead I did a whole bunch of nothing.😱
So today, feeling guilty, I actually have spent several hours on paperwork. I have probably mentioned that I could have a dewey decimal system just for my grocery receipts.😄 So I only kept receipts currently charged on my credit card.
I moved on to utility and credit card invoices only keeping the last couple of months. I have made some really stupid mistakes lately. I pay my bills online through our bank. I have erroneously paid his account when I meant to pay mine. Then his account is overpaid and mine is overdue. It's not fun trying to corrct those issues.
Note to self: SLOW DOWN and check your work.
From there I moved on to a box of miscellaneous cards, letters, playbills, memorabilia etc. I think I threw out at least half of the contents. Sometimes you just have to be in the mood to let go.

Well it took all of 2 minutes. I emptied my file cabinet with all the handouts I collected from professional conferences in the past 30 or so years. It only took me 2 minutes b/c I didn't even look through the handouts, I just threw them out. It has been ions since I looked at any of that stuff and probably never will so out it went. Now I can donate the file cabinet as I don't need it for anything else.
I have a box full of books, a trash bag of toys, a trash bag of clothes, a butterfly chair DD no longer wants, a child's rocking chair, a rocking horse and miscellaneous stuff all ready to go to Goodwill. Next weekend I plan to get a pedicure and Goodwill is right near the nail salon. I don't know if I will be able to fit everything in my car but I get a pedicure every month so it will all eventually go.
