Re: Declutter 2024: What Have You Purged Today?

Basement is completely empty with the exception of washer/dryer and furnace. Attic is empty. My goal is to be ready to relocate to Florida by December 1 and I staying focused!

Getting caught up on everyone's posts. Good job, ya'll!
I have to say that, other than the odd sock with hole, broken plastic bowl/lid, etc., I haven't been decluttering. Will need to get back to it one day soon, tho.

Re: Declutter 2024: What Have You Purged Today?

Well a large kitchen sized garbage bag of this/that from my master bath under sink and a large drawer!  Organized, but have WAY too many hair appliances! They are stacked neatly and if not used again in next few months will donate or toss.

also attacked a lazy susan in kitchen cupboard and purged some old vitamins and fiber and supplements type stuff long expired!

we did take sooo many books finally to the church for their sale! Funny who couldn't part with some was my dh!

im still happy i kept that dang Snoopy bulletin board!

love reading all your posts! Motivates me much!

Re: Declutter 2024: What Have You Purged Today?

Reading how everyone is doing!

This weekend I went thru my tumblers and set them out if any of the kids wanted them.  They are gone!   I'm embarrassed to say how many I had.  I kept only one.  I'm always on the hunt for the perfect one.  Silly I know and I've told myself no more!

Keep up the great work everybody!

Six more boxes for the vets this week.  Just doing it slowly, but their pick up times can usually be within a day or so.  I just moved and need some furniture donation pick ups.  Yikes three weeks out.  I should have called a month ago.  Didn't realize that they were so booked.  They take it for free, it's a furniture bank to help the less fortunate.  Win win.  We had two dining rooms sets when combining three houses.  I might be unpacked by the end of summer!  SO's father passed, his house stuff (some), our stuff and my dads stuff.  It's a lot.  Trying to donate what I can, and the trash pick up weekly is full.  So much stuff.  Hard for me to toss if someone can use it.  I won't donate anything that I wouldn't use myself.  If it's bad, it's going in the trash or recycle.

All of your posts are keeping me motivated.  Thank you! Also, for now, I'm really on a no buy for anything except essentials for food.  I need nothing!   Clothes, beauty, household items.  NOTHING.  No Q shopping for me.......🤣

Re: Declutter 2024: What Have You Purged Today?

It's been so long since I've posted here.

I was gung ho for a while and now it seems to have slowed down.

I do have a box of old picture frames and a few books sitting in the corner waiting for them to go someplace.

We are replacing the carpeting in the living room so I am sure as we start to empty things out so that they can be moved easily I will find more to go.

Next room to refresh will be the dining room, tearing down wallpaper, painting and changing out the area rug under the table.  There is a bookcase in there that will be gone through and pared down significantly.
