I''m not doing real well with my "not bringing in" but when I compare it with previous years, it has come way down I did pass up several items I would not ordinarly have passed on so I guess I am being more intentional in my buying.
This week I did buy 2 more pair of pants from LOGO. I bought the orchid and the green knit with the lace at the bottom side. Received them a few days ago and they are really comfortable and that is what it am aiming for. Happy with the purchase and I did meet meet with my 4 out for each one in.
I donated 4 purses, 3 pair of shoes and a chiffon shirt jk to meet my 4 out for each in. Also trashed a broken glass bowl that DH dropped. Didn't need it anyway, we have too many.
I am going to have to take the time to go through my shoes. I loved the 3 pair of sling back sandels with just a little height I just donated and thought I was going to be able to wear and walk in them. I tested it out with DH making sure I didn't fall and definitely did not feel safe so into the donate bag they went. Pretty sure there are more like that still in with my shoes.

Happy Toxic Toss It Tuesday!
Up and out early this morning headed to our County's Disposal of Toxics Facilty before a Costco run. My first time at the Toxic Facilty as hubby did it for years.
Had lots of various items from the garage purge (half full to almost empty containers). I cross my fingers and hoped they would take all.
-6 gallon and 3 quart size paint cans
-12 cans of Sterno at least a decade or two old
-Butane and grill lighter fluid old as Methuselah
-Antifreeze, liquid plumber and car washing detergent all almost empty and solidified
They took the whole sordid toxic mess. YAY! What a relief!
And, I found out I can bring 3 big fire extinguishers to them next round. Those have been hanging around since Sparky the Fire Dog was a pup. Sparky is 72 now. LOL

How nice to have a facility to take those items that we all accumulate in our homes and don't want to just trash anywhere. What an accomplishment to have those things gone. Did the facility charge for services?

@Twins Mom I agree, it is so nice to have a local county facility that will take these toxic items and they did not charge me for disposal. Granted my county taxes pay for this, but I appreciated the no hassle, in and out, service with a smile.
When clearing my parent's home in Florida, it was a three-ring cluster circus to properly dispose of years and years of toxics. Obviously, every county/state has a different setup.

Hi all...
Finally dropped off at Goodwill a large Cuisinart coffeemaker. I had really wanted one just like my friend's 20 y.o. one, but they "don't make 'em like they used to. Was gifted to me, on request at Christmas, which I appreciated, but maybe not what I'd have chosen.
Bigger than I need for my small kitchen, and had a thermal pot, instead of a glass one, that's supposed to keep the coffee warm, instead of the coffee maker staying "on" after it brewed, like most do. It didn't. Hopefully, whoever buys it doesn't like their coffee as hot as I do. Meanwhile, while on vacation our apartment had a very small 6 cup Mr. Coffee, that worked great, I intend to buy on Amazon. It'll be one in, one out. My coffeemaker saga...The End.
Just bought a set of 4 Londontown Kur nail polishes on HSN, nice sheer pastel nail polishes, clean, natural look, I like for most days. Easy to apply, dries fast, lasts well. Anyway..."one in one out" ...I went through my nail polish box and tossed 2, added to 2 I tossed a month ago. I use natural on my hands, but all the colors on my toes...hence the full box.
Trying to be cognizant, as I update or buy...to let go of older things, duplicates...that's why I'm explaining these purges this way. (Making note, mentally, to myself too.)
Made the appt. with my other consignment (not the one booking out to July...they're impossible with their "out there" scheduling)...this one can always take you within the week. Appt. for this Sat.
Have a white spring blazer, new with tags, a spring top and a small crossbody bag, used maybe twice, too small for me.
Also going to bring a brand new floral outside doormat I thought I'd use on my deck, but don't need out there so never used. While up in my outside storage, I'll see if there's anything else.
In the past 2 years I've tossed at least 13 pairs of various types of footwear. Was in Marshall's the other day because I really need a nice neutral wedge sandal for all my sundresses. All my old staples got used up and tossed.
Instead, of course, I found other shoes, but also they replaced categories I've tossed. I had planned on updating my shoe wardrobe, and I found some things I needed for good prices. Still on the hunt for those sandals, and still want to check TJMaxx and DSW.
Out/In purging...but still good. I don't need/want to just "add", so that's all part of my purging process.
That's it for now!

@amyb - don't minimize the decluttering of small jewelry boxes. It's not the item, it's the process, and sometimes the emotions brought up at the thought of letting something go. Everything contributes to creating a new mindset.

Good decluttering news and bad news. Well, not bad, but you know....
I made a trip to consignment yesterday. 2 purses, a brand new travel cosmetic bag, 2 pairs of Birkenstocks and some other small things. The good news is that the owner did a Facebook live late yesterday and quite a few of my things sold from that. So, that's the good news.
So, what could the "bad" news be you ask? Well, I made myself find some things to take to consignment because....because....late Wednesday afternoon the consignment owner did a Facebook live and I bought one whopper of a purse. Big time impulse buy.
Which is fine, it is stunning, but I got up off the couch and went looking at my things, determined to recoup some of the $$ spent.
So, I am still much lower in my purse and Birkenstock count than I certainly used to be which is good, but need to watch those impulse purchases. Love the new purse though.

@amyb Well, during the move, I have a whole new summer shoe wardrobe! I found a Rubbermaid in the closet I rarely used, full of sandals, that I had forgotten about. 😉. Vionics, a pair of Alegria. Somehow, I thought I lost that pair. A really cute pair of teal Vionics. So cute. Goes to show you what we don't even know we have. So no summer sandal purchases needed this year.

another closet and bag to donate, nightstands with books, purged for church rummage sale. Dumped my college bulletin board from 40+ years ago, "Snoopy" that sat unused for 40+ years - made me cry...many memories!
my dh told me I can purge and clean a little at a time when I retire(26 more work days)!
i think Im feeling weird, yet excited about retirement just off! 😳🥰 seem to be very emotional!
@Fifi1 - I don't blame you for feeling emotional, retirement is a big change, even if it is a good thing! And purging so many items that you've had for so long is probably adding to the emotion. It sounds like you are doing well, but don't rush, dh is right, you will have plenty of time after you retire!
