Well yesterday, I was on a rampage. I cleaned all kinds of stuff. Blenders, pans and bakeware, spin mop, hats, shoes, wallets, packing tape that is so good, jackets, collectibles, etc etc. I cleaned out some bathroom cabinets. Tossed 3 shopping bags full of products I will never used, turned or whatnot. That was just wasteful but I am so done with the clutter and the notion that I will use it. I still could have done more here but that was enough for now.
It felt so good.

@aprilskies - It sounds like you are doing amazing! I'm so glad that you are getting it done and feeling good about it.

Everyone is dong so well, it was nice to sit down and read everyone's progress.
I have been puttering a bit but have been having trouble getting on to post. It's a very busy time of year here again. End of the school year, changing from winter to spring, got a senior graduating, another in drivers training, it never ends.
I am getting to the point where I'm tired of stuff sitting here not being used, Like everyone, I buy something thinking it will get used but then it just sits here. I set aside to donate/sell a brand new spiralizer that I bought at a garage sale 2 years ago and never took out of the box and a springform pan I got at a thrift store that I will probably never use. We have a lot of storage and sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes it's a bad thing because stuff often times will just sit here because we have room for it even though we're not using it.
I also set aside to donate 2 tops that I tried on and didn't care for how they looked/felt. Got some new undershirts for hubby and son and cut up 3 for rags, tossed 2 that were rags already and a ratty washcloth.
Tossed a small bowl that melted in the microwave, several socks and the attachments for a vacuum we no longer have. Plus a drone hubby had that didn't work I finally got him to part with.
Hubby is driving me nutso again with all his junk that he's keeping. The area outside of his pole barn looks horrible, stuff just out everywhere sitting outside. I think he's getting worse. I'm just going to start hauling stuff out to the end of the road. He was supposedly working on cleaning out the barn but I think all he did was just try to move stuff around to cram more in there, not get rid of anything and that whole area looks awful. If it finally gets nice and stays that way we need to do some work outside for sure.

My last post was getting way too long so I decided to make another one . We got new huge trash cans from the MMWA so we have to figure out where they are going to live in our garage.
The garage needs it's annual clean out anyway and I got a very small start on it, but need to give it a complete go thru.
We tossed our last busted up trash can that the trash men broke when the new ones came. Also tossed a plastic bucket, some plastic plant containers that we use to start seeds (we have many) and 3 broken down boxes that were in the garage went into the gigantic recycle container.

Hi Everyone! Today as I was dusting, etc., if I came across something that needed to go, out it went - either to be donated or in the trash. So a few decorative items that I just didn't want any longer will hopefully make someone else happy. Where those items once sat now looks so much better. Then did another makeup purge and now have quite a bit to be donated and some had to be tossed.
The second bedroom still looms large and overwhelming to me but might do the same thing in there that I did today. Next time I go in to dust, take the items I no longer want off the display shelves and put them in the donate pile. Then at least I can feel like I've started to declutter in there. Small steps are sometimes better than trying to tackle a big job.

Yesterday donated 5 pairs of sneakers, 3 of which were the same style, different colors/ patterns. I think I kept 1 pair. Comfy mule style great for slipping on to take the dogs out on a moment's notice. All washed first.
Still feeding the recycling bin daily to overflow. Pickup is Friday.

To my de-cluttering sisters-
I love watching You Tube videos
Have you ever watched anything from GeminiThrifts? She is a re-seller for a living. I'm new to watching her videos.
I watched 2 of her videos this morning where she went to estate sales. Oh. My. Gosh. I just about panicked watching those videos. So, so much stuff and most of it in less than good condition. I just can't imagine having that much stuff and then trying to get rid of it.
Such excess.

The packers are here packing my stuff for my move. I'm downsizing to a house that is half the size of my current house. An estate sale company will sell what they can and donate or dispose of the rest. I still won't approach the minimalism that some of you have achieved, but I will own less and everything will have its place.
I'm excited for the process, but separating out what to keep and what to leave is tiring. After about three hours, I reach decision fatigue and have to take a long break. I think I will donate more once I go through the unpacking process and put things away. It seems like every house is a little different in what I want to use for decor, but I haven't moved in 20 years, so it's more difficult this time than it was back when I used to move every two years or so.

Worked in our garage and organized my outdoor decorations. Tossed two pillows. Then the Amazon truck dropped off two solar sprinkling cans to adorn my planters. So I guess I broke even today.

Big purge here. I decided to really clean the garage out on Sunday and moved a bunch out. I had bins on the side in garage with stuff and moved to my daughters garage right next door plus all the boxes of taxes and backup from a business we had. Which we can now toss.
My daughter has a huge garage and me not so much. My husband hates to let go so out of sight out of mine is the game we play. I like less and he likes more but I have my share of stuff too.
My daughter and I went through all the bins yesterday sorting what was going to church sale next week. I have 2 bins on hold and rest is going. Taking Monday to church. 7 bins and two boxes were already in car from house stuff.
We are starting to shred the documents and I have a monster of a shredder from my office that they no longer needed. I was able to have. That baby shreds anything.
I have had 2 weeks off from work unexpectedly because of some issues with machinery at work and decided need to get things accomplished. I had a gate and a partition replaced that was damaged from a storm and sort of just jumped started my engine from there. The outside work for me was on the fence companies list since March. Now done and looks so nice..
I think look at the money spent on just stuff. My daughter kept a couple things and that was it. She is good at keeping it simple. I figure if she doesn't want then why keep.
What a great feeling to get that stuff out of here. I also tossed the stuff in garage that wasn't good for anything and husband finally said dump it. He is letting it go too.
What a difference nice weather and time off can make. My friends are also purging to get ready for church sale. My friend had tons of stuff for sale last fall and said she never felt so good and said she thinks I have a ton more. Where or where does it all come from. LOL
Just got word normal hours starting Monday for work. Issues resolved. So lucky me to have had this time off spent well.
