Oh, you were so right, thoughtful @Somertime -- I am intensely interested! What a wonderful tribute to David Easton, and a pocket history, of sorts, of the golden period he represents... Oh, I relished every word of the piece, and those photographs of his work-- magnificent.
I know I've said this before, but how wonderful that you worked with him. He sounds so mischievous, creative and an absolute joy.
Thank you so much for posting, @Somertime !

What a lovely tribute to a designer who was a gentleman and left behind his mark in the field of design. When you love and excel in what you do, it shows and stands out.
I love the Georgian room! The elegance and class draws me in and suits my taste. I love the Central Park South place, just the spaciousness and location is enough for me to see the appeal.

@Oznell Delighted you enjoyed it! I was very fortunate to work for him for many years. He was a delight, thoughtful, a talented genius and a work horse. Besides his talent, he was a lovely person. I was so fortunate to work in rarified air. He was a marvelous teacher. He, truly, understood his clients needs and what was important to them. No matter how formal some of his designs looked...........the seating had to be comfortable be it a chair, a sofa or a bed. David did one of the rooms at Blair house as well. His partner. Jimmy Steinmeyer is a lovely as David. Jimmy is a very talented artist in his own right. Jimmy did the Reagan's Christmas Card, one year. It was of the Red Room in the White House.
David was important in my life and I am totally devoted to him.

I always enjoy the Home category on these posts. While I lean toward formal and elegance in furnishings I appreciate seeing all designs and styles. You can always pick up something from the various designers people post about.
What a honor for you to have worked with such an artist in his field and on top of that was a true gentleman who left you with such good memories of his friendship. Thanks for posting and may he David be at peace knowing how much good he left behind.

What a joy those memories must be to savor, @Somertime -- I love hearing your account of those priceless experiences you had. By the way, I love that illustration for the Reagan Christmas card-- how appropriate and stunning....
