DYSON CORDLESS VACUUM'S ARE FAULTY !

I purchased my first Dyson cordless vacuum about 2 months ago.  It worked really well...for a VERY short period of time, then quit.  I sent it back.  I decided to try the recent TSV Dyson cordless V6 vacuum, thinking surely this one would not be faulty.  OH MY !  I used it only two days, approximately 1 hour total run time, if even that !!  Now it will not charge up!  I am totally surprised that QVC would promote such a product that didn't work any better than that !  Back it goes tomorrow.  Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice shame on me !  Never again will I purchase another DYSON !

I'm sorry to learn you've had problems with your two purchases.

I've had my DC59 motorhead for over a year and it's working great.  I've very happy that I bought it.

It picks up beautifully, and is easy to recharge.  The only fault it has is that the debris container is so small and overall it could have been designed just a tiny bit better (sometimes you hit the on button when you want to empty the debris) but that's minor.  I love how lightweight it is.  I haven't used my Miele Callisto since.

I have one also that I purchased at Costco.  It works great.  I use it mostly for the stairs, etc.

I'm sure their not all faulty. I got mind a little over a year ago and I wouldn't be without it and no problems at all.

I have a Dyson cordless...my biggest problem with it...is I constantly have to take the bristle brush off to get the hair and whatnot out of it...and I don't even have any pets...or long hair...

Even after cleaning it I still don't feel it does a good job cleaning...but I spent so much for it...I can't afford to buy something else....I would never recommend a Dyson...

I have the DC59 too, bought Aug. 2014 and it still works great. I do wish it would have a larger canister, have to empty that a couple of times before it stops, and mine runs the 20 minutes on normal, the normal usage time. I wish it got 1 hour like yours.

The battery on your model might be faulty for the line.

Sounds like you've had a run of bad luck but that doesn't mean all cordless Dysons are faulty.  I've had one since before QVC carried them and it has always worked just fine.  Have you checked the outlet where you charge it?  By the way, I own four Dysons.  Love them.

THIS!    Seriously, they have THE best customer service.   I have several Dysons (no cordless ones, though) and have talked to them several times over the last 14 years and never have they ever ceased to help me to my 100% satisfaction.   They have gone above and beyond.

One time I even needed a replacement hose for my, at that time, twelve year old original Dyson.   The cleaning lady is hard on things so I only let her use my oldest ont.  Anyway, I figured maybe I could purchase another hose to fix it and called them.  They said 'no problem, I'm just going to send you one'.  They wouldn't even take my money and the unit was 12 years old!   Like the nut I am, I cried because I never ask anybody for anything to which I'm not entitled.

But anyway, that's just one story.   One that I purchased one year I didn't care for.  It was kind of a 'lighter' type model and I didn't feel that it performed like my others.  I had written a review for it, explaining my disappointment.  But I had been sick and it was too late to just return it.

Somebody at Dyson saw my review and contacted me.  She said that she could see how that model would not be for me.   She asked me which UPS Store was most convenient to me and sent them a work order.  She said to just take it to them and they would pack and ship it.   She told me to email her the tracking number for the shipment when I got home.

As soon as she got the tracking number she processed a replacement order for another (much more expensive) model, at no cost to me.  It was shipped to me that day and i got it before they even got the other one back.

Sorry so long, but they are really the best.  I've had questions on how to do stuff and have called them.  They will go get one of that model and bring it to their desk and go through it with me as to how to do what I needed to do..

Although I don't own the cordless model I own 4 dysons and I agree with @ID2.  They have the BEST customer service I have ever dealt with.  Always real happy when I get off the phone with them.
