I love orange tones, but of the slightly muted and 'burnt' variety, and use them often. Of the two rooms, I guess I prefer the first one, though it has nothing to do with the presence of orange, but is because I like the table and the wall color, even though I'd never paint a wall that color... To be honest, I don't like either room... I actively dislike those chairs in the second picture, not because of their color but because of their style, such as it is... Come to think of it, I don't like the chairs in the first picture either...

I love the colors of the first room; especially the dark blue on the walls.  I had a bedroom painted that color once.

The second one would be okay, if you removed the table and chairs; nothing about those appeal to me.  Also, the rug under the table is superfluous.  I'd leave the hardwood floor bare.

It was 1974, orange was every where, I had orange shag wall to wall carpeting and orange and black drapes in my living room. LOL  I still like orange.
