Re: DOWNSIZED MASTER BEDROOM

If you remove the bed the room is nondescript and I don't care for the the bed at all.  It looks like the wrought iron fences they had surrounding old apartment buidings and very wealthy folks estates years ago.  To me it screams KEEP OUT.  Not a relaxing look.at all. JMHO.

Re: DOWNSIZED MASTER BEDROOM

@NickNack,  thanks!  I enjoy that we usually seem to like a lot of the same decor too!

@GingerPeach,  it sounds like you would like her site.  If you haven't found it already, just googling Cindy Hattersley will bring it up.  She does gardens, food and fashion as well as interiors, so it's up your alley...

Oh, I forgot to mention, @millieshops ,  best of luck with your remodel!   Glad you got some encouragement for your ideas.  I hope you'll report back here about the progress--  I love to hear about stuff like that....

@Oznell

I immediately went to find out more about her and found her site, which I look forward to delving into.

I let another poster know as well, since she'd been looking for something similar.

Thank you again for bringing us all these interesting, talented people.

Her style never looks like it's trying too hard, but there's thought and a selective sensibility behind every choice.

Even though the room has evidence of personality, and a few well-chosen collections, it doesn't feel overwhelming to me-- just welcoming, and conducive to relaxation.

You nailed it.  Not too much and not too cluttered.  Nice use of texture, too.

Re: DOWNSIZED MASTER BEDROOM

I don't like everything about it and, in fact, I don't care for some of the elements much at all, but the overall room is quite pleasing. I particularly like the shades and night table to the left of the bed.

Re: DOWNSIZED MASTER BEDROOM

The new bedroom is very pretty. Much better than the before IMO. I'd prefer a bit more color, but that would be easy to fix by switching out pillows on the bed. Overall, a pleasing, relaxing, and comfortable looking bedroom.
