Totally understand where you’re coming from @Nightowlz

@When I’m doing my household work I like to be able to listen to music and do my thing. I don’t go to his work and play my music. Shutting his door doesn’t sound like that’s so bad. I do it all the time When the family is watching a movie on the tv too loud or if he plays certain video games.

I didn’t get the idea you were really “annoyed” and this was a serious issue causing problems in your marriage.

I totally agree, some folks need to acquire a sense of humor.

@Nightowlz.....I get it.  My dh came home early last week, he was not feeling well, catching a cold.  It was my first full day at home with nothing to do except clean and take down Christmas decorations....I wanted the place to myself

I told him to go  upstairs and lay down in bed...I did not want him downstairs where I was cleaning....I  make a huge mess when taking down Christmas and didn't want to work around him.

DH stayed home today. I'm trying to clean house listening to Maroon 5 turned up. DH shut the door in the exercise room. I said well you should have went to work. LOL!!! He hates it. He likes country music. I don't mean today's country either. He likes that what I call wangy twangy stuff that I don't like.    Cat Very Happy

I'm with hubby on this one!! Give me good old country music any day and none of that Maroon Five stuff!! LOL Now I do love old time rock n roll which is my hubbys' favorite so we do all right with our choices of music because we like each others. You might have to get both of you headsets so you can listen to your own type of music and not offend each other or he could have just gone to work!!! LOL I am laughing out loud at you post and thank you for that it was a fun one!!

@Nightowlz  Is this a serious thread? I find it difficult to accept that your dh has a job, so I am assuming he pays for the house, yet he has to take the TV outside to watch it? Clean tomorrow. My, my, my...........

@pattypeep Yes this is a serious thread.

Boy don't you guys ever fun around with your significant other?

Yes DH has a job. He always watches TV outside or in his shed if it's nice outside. He likes to be outside. I just bought him another TV for him to use outside. That's what he wanted for Christmas.

I clean house every day. I'm not doing it all in one day. I do some each day & start over on Mon.

I also use to work. We both paid for the house & many other things we own. Our house is paid for.

It's our house not his.

Considering your attitude, the house may soon become community property to be decided in divorce court.  If I were a judge, I'd probably award everything to him.  Shame on you for showing your "attitude" in this way.  Show the guy some appreciation and shut down the "music" or he may find someone else who is happy to show a little more appreciation for him.

@Perkup Nothing wrong with my attitude. LOL!!!

Doubt we will ever get a divorce. If we do I'm taking my half. LOL!!! We have been married 42 yrs next month. Neither of us would know what to do without each other.

If anyone would bother to read all my posts you can see we are only fooling around. We were just having fun. Geezzzzzzzzzzzz

I know you are just joking around, but you lost me when you said you clean the house every day. I think I'd skip it the one day my DH had off.

@AuntG I was just doing a little cleaning while he was exercising while I was waiting to exercise. I did not know he was taking the day off.

DH is off every weekend. He gets 7 wks vacation a year so he can take off when he wants. He can go to work late or not or whatever.

We can do it all over again next Mon when he's off for MLK Day. LOL!!!

WANGY TWANGY...that’s what mine likes, too! 😂

@LTT1 LOL!!! I just can't listen to that stuff.

He came in the living room & told me I should listen to some old lady music. He said I'm not a teenager & should not be listening to Maroon 5. I told him just because I'm getting old does not mean I cannot listen to music I like. He told me to quit dancing around the living room singing. LOL!!! That's what I do when I'm cleaning & he's at work.

Old lady music ?? Them' fighting words, turn it up ! LOL. You and your DH keep having fun !!

@QVCkitty1 I know. Old lady music. He's older then me so he has no room to talk. I know I'm getting older. I will be 60 in 6 wks. & he's just having fun.

Ok. I'm so shocked at the level of June Cleaver, Stepford Wives, Tammy Wynette responses. I say go for it @Nightowlz ! After 42 years, you are doing something right! My hat is off to YOU!

@Tigriss I was also shocked. I guess some don't ever fool around & have fun. I guess it's the older generation that's so serious about everything.

@QVCkitty1 @GenXmuse Yes it was a serious post but not a serious situation. If all my posts are read I'm sure you can figure that out. ITA agree with people with no sense of humor. I don't like to be around people without it. I have plenty. LOL!!! You can always count on me to crack a joke.
