Re: DENNIS BASSO'S LIVING ROOM

@Oznell   Lovely for the style it is and decorated very well, but it's too traditional and masculine/heavy for me personally.....

Re: DENNIS BASSO'S LIVING ROOM

Very pretty! Too many Ginger Jars for my taste though. I don not care for his artwork either, and the Living Room is just a bit too much for me in the 4th picture.

I do not care for the swag on his fireplace either-maybe a different color would work better. All in all I really like it though and I love Blue and White together-so refreshing!~

@manny2 ,  love that you appreciate that very select art.  I think a key to this room is his taste in having a few piquant, well-selected contemporary items in with the classic-- keeps things lively.

I love his work @Oznell . It’s whimsy, yet sophisticated, with movement and color. I really like the shapes, and the placement.

I love blue and white, but I don’t like overly traditional furniture lines (too ornate) and never any ginger jars.

Best piece is that painting above the fireplace. 💙

Speaking of coastal decor/symbolism/images (e.g., colors of blue and sand, seascapes), the wrought iron design of the rectangular table has what looks kind of like a trident, which brings to mind Poseidon.

Really like his living room chairs (referring to the chair design, not the fabric print) - they look substantial, comfortable, and traditional.  In general, I like most of his furniture in all the photos.

Your eagle eye for detail and nuance never fails to astound, @QVCisFun .  Only you would have spotted that, and made that fascinating association!

Re: DENNIS BASSO'S LIVING ROOM

There's a lot going on in these rooms that make them more formal than I would be comfortable in.  Nevertheless, the individual choices are very elegant and sophisticated.

I am in deep love with that entry table and the chinoiserie there.   I would run off with that table in a heartbeat.
